I'm in the market for my first watch. I think I'm either going to go for Tag or Omega.

Here are a few I'm considering (only included a few from Omega as there's way too many to go through!) however I'm hoping to be steered in some sort of direction.

I'm quite keen on a two toned watch as I like to wear gold and white gold.

I was quite keen on a MOP or white face (disliked black) but I'm now thinking black goes with everything (and white) as opposed to MOP. Although I think black face might be the way to go, I think it looks ugly with a two tone watch!

Would love to hear your thoughts/experiences with faces and which ones can easily be paired with everything as I'm looking for an everyday watch which can also be worn at night.

I have a Tag Carerra with MOP face and diamond markers. I have worn it every day (except my wedding day!) for the last 5 years. I think it's perfect for day and night. I rarely ever take it off and love the self winding battery feature.

Why are you an Omega fan? Are you able to pair it with everything in your wardrobe? Also, do you think having diamonds around the face is a bit too dressy for every day wear?

My first Omega is Constellation My Choice ladies size, all steel, MOP with diamond markers and some diamonds on the bezel. I wore that watch everyday for 5 years until I bought a Omega Aqua Terra, ladies size (30mm) all steel dark grey dial with diamond markers. Now I wear the Aqua Terra almost daily, so much so that I neglected the Constellation. Both are quartz by the way.

Yes, I can pair them with everything in my wardrobe and diamond dials are just perfect. I think all diamond bezel may be a bit too much for daily wear. A bit of diamond makes the watch more desirable to look at and you won't get bored. LOL! I hope this helps. Looking forward to your pics once you have decided.

I personally prefer Omega if you are going in the direction of two-tone. I also think the Omega designs are more feminine. The diamond markers version is subtle and good for day-to-night. If you are looking for something sporty and without MOP, Tag is great option.

I think MOP or white face is more practical. Easier to read!

Would love to see a picture of your watch on your wrist! Is yours the 39mm as I noticed on the website the 27mm is quartz.

My two-tone Omega Costellation Iris 95 has MOP and I love it! Wear it all the time and never think that it doesn't "go" with the two-tone.

Thanks for the tip, I guess I can rule out an all diamond bezel. I'd love to see your watches side by side on your wrist, please upload :smile1:

I've never liked the sporty look on me however it's been growing on me lately. I think there was a Tag watch I tried on which had MOP. I can't seem to remember now as there's so many choices to choose from :faint:

Your wish is my command! Here's a pic of it with my tennis bracelet.

I *love* the MOP dial, and the sapphire stations are a little more interesting
than diamond stations. Some people tell me that the diamond bezel is a bit too
much bling for everyday, but I like it.

Lovely!! I'm loving the two-tone! Why is it called Iris 95?

I'd go for the Omega Constellation with a MOP face in SS. I have the mychoice mini that I've worn daily for the past 6 1/2 years (16th birthday gift). It goes with everything and I've received countless complements!

SS does seem like a great option however I'm definitely going two tone as I like to wear white and gold jewellery :graucho:

I quite like the roman numerals on the bezel. Is your 24mm or 27mm? I think I'll need to see all these watches in person!!

Mine is the Mini, too (22.5 mm).

The "95" has pointed hands. Compare the hands on mine with tartanwife's lovely SS model which has squared hand ends.

The "Iris" model has the multicolored sapphires around the face.

I agree that the roman numerals around the bezel are great. If you aren't going for diamond bezel, you'll get the roman numbers. Here are a few to get you thinking:
