Wow, so cool! If you go, let us know how it is!

I lived in Georgetown a while back, and it would have been so fun to have a Chanel boutique!
(Well, I probably could not afford it back then, but it would have been fun to window shop! )

I got the same letter as well super excited to visit over the weekend.
Some of my SAs from the Tysons boutique and Bethesda Saks Chanel went there so I don't even need to find new people to work with!

I love that they are going to be carrying ready to wear we only had Neiman or Saks option for that route in this neighborhood.

Are those going to stay open?

I hope not. I was pretty disappointed when I was in Boston last month and Chanel was the only store that still had the appointment system. Hermes was even walk-in for half the week. I will be there tomorrow and will report back.
Their phone was down but I chatted with the online advisor and they said it’s walk in woot! She said these are their hours
Monday - Saturday 11-7
Sunday 12-6

Here's the info on CityCenter's directory page:

No appointments needed; according to the managers, the line yesterday was down the block (which in the middle of July in DC, in direct sun, can be brutal. Bring an umbrella, in case they run out at the front door). Short-ish line by the time I finished shopping at 11:45am.

It's beautiful inside...I was too excited to get pictures.

I am so excited to have a boutique in my beloved city. It is indeed a gorgeous store! I visited yesterday on opening day.

Bags, shoes, makeup and fragrance, RTW, SLGs, other accessories, cosmetic and fine jewelry … it’s all there! The store design is beautifully done. I fell in love with the brand all over again!

You’ll likely see a few familiar SA faces from Neiman Chevy Chase, Saks Chevy Chase, and of course, Tysons.

No appointments needed, but be prepared to wait in line depending on the time that you go.

Happy visiting and shopping!

You’ll love it.

Thanks for the tips everyone ☺️ Hopefully the lines aren’t too bad today otherwise I’ll likely have to come back next time. Excited for it though!

I was kind of wondering about this. Neiman Chanel closed in Bethesda but that was due to Neiman's bankruptcy case.
Whenever I go to the Bethesda Saks store, it is always empty and that whole street is just dead now.

I really don't think Chanel will close the Tysons boutique because it is always bustling with people.
It wasn't the case for Hermes Tysons boutique but we'll see.

I'm going in tomorrow early but these are the pictures that were taken by WWD

Though I don't think the standalone Chanel boutique will close in Tyson's. If it does, there's still a Chanel inside the Neiman Marcus (but it's really small). Hoping to one day visit the City Center location once it's less busy. Hopefully it'll die down in August.
