I've successfully hand washed my Hermes scarfs and shawls, despite the dry clean only tag, thanks to helpful advice here. Wondering if I can successfully hand wash my LV monogram shine shawls, as well. Any tips for getting a nice result and avoiding the dry cleaner? I did search here, but answers were inconsistent.
Thanks!

I was going to try to do it in a garment bag, on cold cycle, delicate wash with woolite gentle detergent. I haven’t done it yet, but I’ve washed other dry clean items this way and they were fine. Hang to dry and it should be good. I’d like to hear other people’s thoughts as well.

Oh, I should add that my shawls are very light, neutral colors. If I had a shawl that was a vibrant or dark color I don’t think I would try this. Unless it’s dirty, you can just hang is outside and get some fresh air circulated through it

I would cringe on the thought of putting my shine shawl in the wash; however I wouldn’t have a problem using dryell. I’ve used it on my son’s expensive clothes without incident.
Also, wouldn’t try washing the Shine shawl, but the monogram perhaps. Her question is about the monogram. Other members have successfully cleaned their monogram shawls. Hopefully, someone who has done it will chime in.

Hi. I have a black monogram shine shawl and I still wouldn’t attempt to wash it; that’s why I recommended dryell. Happy others have been successful cleaning theirs. If and when my monogram shine shawl gets used a lot, that’s how I plan on cleaning it.

I wouldn’t trust the dry cleaners with it.

That’s a beauty! I wouldn’t wash a Shine shawl either.

I’ve used dryell on everything along with a Jiffy Steamer. Had no issues. But that’s a personal perspective. I can certainly understand if someone has hesitations so i would advise to do your own research and do what makes you comfortable.

I hand wash mine. I use the laundress detergent and let it soak a little in warm water then I rinse it and I use the laundress stain bar for stains. After I rinse it completely I open it up and hang dry it. After that I steam it if it’s wrinkled. I don’t trust my dry cleaner to send it there.
