I have the large Hamilton in Luggage. I've only carried it twice and I really like it. I just went to my TJ Maxx and they had a small Hamilton in Oasis for $149! I had to pass, because the small is too small for me. Here's a picture to help tide you over until hubby gets home!

I completely understand what you are saying. They don't lay completely flat yet on my bag, I think they will as my bag becomes more "broken in". I want them to lay flat, so if/when I use the long strap, the shorter straps will lay flat against the bag. It make take some "training" for the handles to do that, but the SA showed me hers and her handles layed flat and her bag was more "broken in" than mine is yet.
