I think a ring of scammers has arrived and seems to be selling scary close fakes.

The first one we found (actually, credit Quinna for bringing it up) was posted in AT Coach:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-sho...l#post28760260

Then another buyer posted on the ebay forum because she paid over $500 for a Swagger to be shipped priority and the seller doesn't ship for over 15 days.

This is her ebay forum thread:

In looking at the listings, I've uncovered several sellers with similar listings, similar pictures, IDs that follow similar name patterns and seller locations in the NY/NJ area, all in fairly close proximity to each other. All are new sellers with many NWOT bags.

Personally, I'd avoid any of these sellers and the styles of bags they're selling but if you feel you must buy, have your listings looked at by experts.

Here are some of the seller's and listings. These sellers are making a ton of money:

I continue to have no doubt that all these sellers (and perhaps other undiscovered ones) are working together. Although they don't share pictures with each other, the pictures shown have similarities that are NOT coincidental!

Buyer beware.

Here are a few examples. These are the SAME hands:

Yikes. I saw a few of those pics on eBay and thought they were very questionable myself. UGH.

What about this one by erick.gabri? Granted, I will avoid all the styles and bags sold by this seller, and the others mentioned, but it doesn't seem to look as fake as the other listings? Or are my eyes really dull for this kind of thing? :confused1: Now I'm apprehensive about buying any Swaggers online!

I suppose it's possible that there might be a mix of authentic and fake among this seller's and the other sellers' listings, but IMO, that makes them even more dangerous.

Some sellers have all obvious fakes and a careful buyer knows to avoid those sellers. But sellers who mix (or have scary close fakes) are often able to get away with ripping of many buyers because they wrong assume it's an honest seller.

Personally, I wouldn't buy from any of these sellers and I'd recommend that any potential buyers of the newer styles of bags be very careful.

I wouldn't buy from any of these sellers, but would the others be safe? The fact that some can come close to what I think is authentic is just scary to me-I'm almost inclined to get my Swagger only from Coach stores now.

There are several different items for which there have been some very scary close fakes. Among them are styles 10124, 10125 and 10341. Additiionally, there are quite a few wallet styles that have been closely faked.

For these styles especially, it's important that buyers have them looked at by experts. It's important that the sellers and their items be reviewed.

As I commented previously, there are huge red flags and similarities in these listings.

The sellers I mentioned at the beginning of the thread have been naru'ed but I've found another seller to be wary of:
On ebay: robert8256 (1725) - http://www.ebay.com/sch/robert8256/m.html?item=281836934223&hash=item419eca544f%3Ag%3AbdwAAOSwA4dWKoD8&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

On Bonanza: Doris_Daily_Deals - http://www.bonanza.com/booths/Doris_Daily_Deals
^^^^ This seller also had new Louis Vuitton bags, thus raising more red flags. Louis Vuitton doesn't use suppliers, doesn't offer discounts, outlet stores or any other reduced prices. ANY and EVERY LV item would be purchased ONLY from an LV store and ONLY at full price. Thus this seller's listings have another large red flag.

It's impossible to authenticate the bags because none of the listings show pictures of the actual items but another bothersome part of the listing is what they describe as the source of their items:
"We are a clearinghouse of major retailers. The item will be shipped directly from our supplier"

Whether this seller has authentic Coach items or not, I don't know but I advise extreme caution.
