I had asian double eyelid surgery here over a year ago and it was a disaster for me. she made my eyelid folds super high and deep like those dolls with rolling eyeballs. it looks high and round like a Westernized eyelid, not small and almond like Asian. This was not at all what i requested.

And THEN she tried to do revision but it just made my folds uneven with worse scarring. The horrible scars make it look very obvious that I had surgery.

I got major depression from living with these botched eyelids for over a year now. i am writing this to warn you all and to save you from going through what I did. now I have to save money and take time off to go to korea to fix this mess. she did not even offer a refund or apology.

Hi OP- sorry to hear about your negative experience.. I got botched by her as well and what you described is exactly like my case. She was extremely sloppy with my eyes, both pre surgery and stitches which resulted in horrible scars. I'm desperately researching for someone to fix my eyes. If you find someone, please let me know. I'd love to share any info during this research phase :/

Im planning to go korea for lower crease eyelid revision. when are u going? Which doctor have u decide?

I recommend a consult with Dr William Lao, Manhattan NYC he says to wait 6 months before a revision and Dr Kami Parsa, BHills he only does eyes, has done revision on Asian Eyes

I'm so sorry to hear about your experiences! I'm just surprised because I had my double lid surgery from her in the summer of 2019 and had a wonderful experience with her. I am Korean and I initially considered traveling to Korea for my surgery. My main reason for not doing so was because of the travel and recovery time. I did extensive research here in CA and scheduled a consult with her. My main concern was that I did not want my eyes to look larger. I wanted to look more rested as the skin on my lids were starting to droop. I was hoping to do the non-incisional but I knew I would not be a good candidate. I had a lengthy consult with Dr. Ho Taghva. She confirmed that I would not be a good candidate for the non-incisional as I would most likely need to a revision in a few years. I chose the incisional. I stressed to her multiple times that I did not want larger doll looking eyes. I went on her IG page and showed her pics of what drew me to her office and ones I thought were too big. She stated that some patients request the larger eyes so she makes suggestions and ultimately it's up to the patient. I felt very comfortable and confident with her. I experienced no pain throughout the entire recovery. There is a bit of a pulling on the temples the first day. I was out and about in public about a week after even prior to getting my stitches removed. I did about 3 additional complimentary follow up visits to make sure that I am healing properly. She did such a great job that no one noticed that I had the surgery. Friends comment I look younger. I am now a little over 2 years surgery and my sister will be getting her eyes done with her next year. Again, I am so sorry that your experience/results. I just thought it fair that I share my experience so that people get honest feedback from multiple people who have had surgeries with her. (I've been on this forum for over 10 years and have not posted in a while. I am in no away affiliated with Dr. Ho Taghva or anyone who knows or works for her.)
