^Ooo that sounds like my sort of perfume, I'll be checking that out!

Living in Australia, where it's routinely 30 degrees C plus all year, you need all the fresh light fragrances. Anything citrusy, mint, cucumber, herbal but light are the go-to for me.
My suggestions:

- Ouai North Bondi
- Versace Bright Crystal
- Armani Acqua Di Gioia
- Chanel Chance eau fraiche
- Maison Margiela Matcha Meditation
- Burberry Brit Sheer
- Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt (this is a late summer/autumn fragrance for me - a bit too woody at the height of summer)
- Tom Ford Neroli Mandarino di Amalfi
- Guerlain Allegoria line is fantastic, my faves being - Mandarine Basilic,
Orange Soleia, Nerolia Bianca

Wow! Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I'm so excited to start shopping! I'll be in town next week and will be able to spend a day finding a new fragrance or two (or 3...).

I'm wondering if a higher-end floral would work better on me. Maybe it would stay truer and not dry down to the soapy/baby powdery smell that most florals end up doing on me. I love floral fragrances, I've just had bad luck with how many of them work on me when they are predominantly floral-centric. I think I'll give one a try just to see.

If anyone else has thoughts/suggestions, I would still love to hear them.

Thanks All! :)
My favourite florals are both Hermès, Un Jardin sur le Toit and Jour d'Hermès. I've been using them for years and never tyre of them.

I love spring and summer and the scents I then wear are (some were already mentioned):

DG Light Blue (Original, some flankers are nice though)
Le Labo Bergamote
Byredo Mojave Ghost
Diptyque Philosykos
Miller and Harris Tea Tonic
Jo Malone Lime Basil and Mandarine
Aqua di Parma Arancia di Capri
Heeley Note de Yuzu

Hi! I'm hoping for some suggestions for warm weather women's perfumes.

I think fruity/citrusy might be good, as I've worn Clinique's Happy in the past and it worked well for me. As I'm 52 now, I would prefer something a little more sophisticated at this point in my life. Also, less recognizable, as once something becomes so easily identified, it starts to elicit strong emotional reactions, and that's not what I'm going for. I just want something nice, fresh, and pleasant.

I have noticed that florals do not work well on my skin. I love them, they just don't work on me. Not to say that the fragrance can't have ANY floral in it, just saying that it can't be predominantly floral or my skin changes it.

Patchouli, amber, santal, oud, frankincense, all work well for me, but are very heavy and not very warm-weather friendly, I don't think.

I've tried everything by Estee Lauder and found that the scents do not last long enough on me.
I've tried everything by Lancome and same thing. Also, the fragrances end up smelling like chemicals on me after about an hour.
I've tried many of the Marc Jacobs and Good Girl lines, as my daughter has several, but they don't work for me either. Too youthful.

I guess I would like something maybe a little higher end, so that it doesn't end up smelling like chemicals after the dry-down, and so that it lasts longer, and has a more sophisticated vibe.

Hopefully this isn't too much of an ask. I realize I probably sound picky. I don't mean to be, I just want to let you know what I've found works and doesn't work, and what I've already tried.

TIA!!

Spell on You by Louis Vuitton, Chance Eau Tendre EDT or EDP, Chanel Cristalle, Chanel No 22 ( white aldehydic floral). Also, try some of the Dior Exclusives, some of those are lighter.

After trying about a bazillion different fragrances, from low-end to high-end and everything in between, I FINALLY found a summer scent that smells nice on me. Drum roll please..... Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey. It is bright and fresh. Best of all, it doesn't lose the fresh quality after the dry-down.

The sales rep gave me samples of a few others as well, so I can play with those. She recommended mixing Nectarine Blossom with Wood Sage and Sea Salt, but on me that ended up having a slight tobacco quality to it that I found unpleasant. She gave me a sample of the Wood Sage and a lotion, so maybe it will be better by itself. If not, I'll give it to someone else.

Also, I posted this question in the perfume chat thread but no one has answered there, so I'm hoping for better luck here. Does anyone know if La Labo perfumes change as they age? I bought a complete set of samples for every one of their perfumes and don't like a single one. Any chance of them improving with age? If they are very stable over time, I will just give the kit to someone else.

Pacifica French Lilac

Also a big fan of anything floral by Jo Malone and Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche
I'm a big fan of Chanel Eau Fraiche Eau de Parfum.

Not only is it lovely in itself but I've found it to be absolutely superb to mix with other perfumes that are a bit 'heavier' imo, as it lifts and brightens, turning what might be thought of as Fall/Winter perfumes into Spring/Summer perfumes.
