I think it depends if I am traveling or what bag I have. Sometimes when I travel I bring my small little french purse with me so I can make more room in my purse for magazines and snicky snacks. :)

But normally I carry what qualifies as a "Travel" wallet designed for a passport and plane tickets. It holds both checkbooks, my business checking registry, all my cards and more crap than I ever realized I carry and haven't ever used....

I usually use longer wallets - but recently purchased a large french style wallet, I hope I love it!

I'm the exact opposite - I've always had square wallets and just bought a long wallet - I hope I like it!;)

Now that I have two kids, I'm carrying tons more stuff: membership cards to the zoo museums aquarium etc, everyone's insurance cards, tickets for the train ride at the mall, etc. My square wallet still works, but it's a little cramped.

^^I guess we'll have to compare notes later!

So, my long-style wallet arrived yesterday and I'm returning it. I just could get over how BIG it is! I might give it another go if I can find one that's not so heavy... I've had square wallets all my life so I don't know if I can change this late in the game :thinkin:. It was nice to have everything organized so nicely though... still searching for the perfect wallet...

^^May I ask what brand wallet you purchased (style too). I can make some suggestions if I have a bit more info! :flowers:

^^ You're so kind :flowers:

The wallet I've had for a while is the Ellington Sorrento

The one that I'm returning is the Ellington Sophie:

I would really love the LV Zippy in Cassis :girlsigh: but at $680, that's not going to happen any time soon.

TBH I love the layout of the Ellington (and the LV too of course), but the shape of the coin holder part was annoying. (in addition to the weight!) I imagine the LV one must be very lightweight due to the epi leather.

p.s. What's your price range? That would help with member suggestions. :flowers:

Aw you are just too sweet.... I totally did not mean for this to turn into a shopping request!:shame: TBH, I was just going to stick with my old wallet and be happy with it since there isn't anything *wrong* with it. So ATM my price range is waaaay too low to make window shopping any fun :noworry:

LOL I ended up getting a Hayden Harnett clutch wallet which I LOVE. Pockets and compartments everywhere! I obsessed over alot of wallets and the HH clutch wallet had the most card slots, pockets, and extra compartments of any of them. And relatively speaking, the price was super reasonable: $170!

Glad you're loving your transition to square wallets :). I miss my smaller wallets but with two kids my stuff just wouldn't fit anymore. Pre-kids all I needed was a card case LOL.
