Waiting for confirmation from SA

Just got my classic flap in ghw and caviar leather delivered today. It was beautiful after a few minutes it got me thinking, am I selfish to have bought it? I’ve always wanted this purse but never pulled the trigger and after hearing about the price increase I figured it would be now or never but now I’m think omg what did I do? I can afford it and I didn’t need to put it on my cc but when you put it into perspective $6k is a lot of money to spend on a purse idk sorry to be a downer but does anyone else feel guilt after their purchase comes in?

Absolutely! The first chanel bag I ever bought was $4900 and I was sick over it for a week or two. I work hard and I could afford it, but I kept wondering if it was ridiculous for me to have bought it. There were a few other bags after that where I had some guilt, though it was never as bad. The thing is, I look at my bags now and they all make me so happy that at the end of the day, I feel like that’s what matters. If the bag makes you smile and makes you happy, I would try not to feel so guilty - though I know it can be easier said than done.

Yessss, I bought 4 bags in the last couple months... thinking about it kinda made me sick, and made me super guilty. Kinda took away from the joy of receiving these bags... :C
But I feel pressure to purchase cause its now or never... kinda feeling.

Hello! I spoke to my Saks SA Friday night, called her with my CC info on Saturday morning. She initially told me it’ll process on Monday, but it processed today on Tuesday. I have yet to receive tracking info, but my receipt says Second Day air.
She said it’ll be shipped on Wednesday, so let’s cross our fingers!

Def a frustrating process, if I wasn’t so obsessed with scoring the Red Mini, I would have probably told her to cancel it. But it’s just so pretttttty! Lol

Thanks for this thread - I just ordered a bag from a previous season via Neiman Marcus - inventory showed like one left in the company (I'm assuming via Chanel boutiques) but she processed my card and order. Now I am impatiently waiting to get the shipping confirmation.....

Just here to confirm that you likely will not get a shipment notification email either at all or in a timely way - just checked my FedEx account and my bag will arrive tomorrow, but I wouldn't have known that had I not had a FedEx account to check my shipments.

I signed up for an account on FedEx and use their iPhone app to continuously track any shipments heading to my house. They will automatically populate once you have an account with your home address in it. It's a great feature! I think UPS has one too, but I feel like it's not as solid as FedEx.

Ladies.. I’m having a major deja vu moment right now
I ordered remotely yesterday and usually i get the shipping email the 2nd day but got nothing today and the SA didn’t reply yet.. I remembered what we all went through last year before the May increase.. today felt like forever lol
I scored my black medium GHW before that increase and this year the white medium flap and small 19 hopefully I’ll hear back tomorrow!
Anyone else waiting for a confirmation? Reserve? Shipping?

Assuming you got the email receipt? If so…am guessing it’s the frenzy and maybe the shipping is a little delayed?

Yes got the payment confirmation email.. the bag is secured.. I’m sure shipping was delayed due to crazy times (purchase was made in UK)..

OMG major deja vu!! So happy you were able to score the white flap - it looked BEAUTIFUL! I was hoping to get a small white CF and have been asking my SA about a week ago, but it seemed that they didn't have much in the first place and they were already all sold out, so I guess it just wasn't meant to be :/
