Have you looked at Liberty London's totes?

Maybe you'd like the Coach Rogue TOTE, since you didn't like the regular Rogue? I hear it's far lighter! Massaccesi's Selene is a pretty leather tote that you can customize.

MCM has a ton of options but maybe that wouldn't feel right because you love the NF!
I love the casual look of the Balenciaga Cabas. I think the MZ Wallace Metro tote actually looks really chic and metropolitan, but I know you don't like nylon.

Faure Le Page, Bally (available at their outlet!), Delage, Lancaster Paris Ikon, Tous, and Loup Noir all have coated canvas totes for less than the NF and offer great unique alternatives. For more expensive options you might want to check out Pinel et Pinel, Moreau, Pierre Hardy and Moynat. Pierre Hardy's Polycube and Moynat's Rivage are cheaper than the NF but the Moreau tote is $1500+, because it's not canvas but actually printed leather. Pinel et Pinel is also around 1500.

I sadly cannot attest to the quality of ANY of these bags because even though I LOVE totes and am obsessed with coated canvas, currently, smaller bags just work better for me and my lifestyle! I'd be happy to share pics I've found online or direct you to threads where you can talk to people who actually own these bags haha. Let us know what you end up going with!
I can talk about Moreau because I have one. Printed leather, light weight and wonderful handstitching.
Mine is the Vincennes, North South shape.IMG_0349.JPG

I have also been on the hunt for the perfect tote bag. And I ended up with the NF in DE haha.

With that said I have two more favourites which are contemporary: Tory Burch Perry tote (which Mrs DS also recommended). It is discontinued but if I find it in another color I would buy it without blinking. This tote is actually more confortable than the NF DE since the straps are more similar to vachetta.

And then the Tory Butch Gemini tote. This is very inexpensive and feels plastic. But it has held up great for me and since I have two children I can use it carefree.

I really really want a tote. I had the Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM in Damier Ebene and just LOVED it. It felt classy, it wasn't extremely heavy and it seemed to be very durable and withstand weather conditions. I sold it though because I had bought it pre-loved with an ink stain and it just bothered me too much. If anything, I want a brand new one and I'm loving the Rose Ballerine interior, but I just can't seem to bite the bullet and pay almost $1,400! I mean, I would and will, but I'll have to save up for awhile.

So, I wanted to come here and see what is the #1 best tote in your opinion. It can be contemporary or premier, I just want it to be functional and I love canvas/leather. I'm not very into nylon or cloth totes. I want something lightweight too, I had the Coach Rogue 36 and it killed my shoulders!
I think any of the Dooney and Bourke coated cotton totes. They are lightweight and functional.

If you have your heart set on a bag (the NF), I'd recommend holding off until you can buy it. Every time I've bought a substitute bag, it was just an extra expense to me getting the bag I did want. Never once did I go, no, I don't need the other bag anymore. I'd always buy both, so I'd rather just pocket the money.

You're right. I ended up buying a pre-loved Neverfull DE in Rose Ballerine. I love it. It just suits me and it matches my new 6 key ring holder as well! <3

I still would like a more casual tote that I'm not afraid to use, so I'll have to check out Tory Burch and the other brands mentioned!!

Thank you ladies!
