Assuming it's authentic ( NOT casting aspirations, I just don't do IG sellers, so do not know this person, their history etc., and one photo is not enough to judge for me), then I'm thinking it's analogous to the whole Barenia alligator/croc discussion- see herewhat does Volynka mean in relation to this
is it the colour or have they started to use the volynka process with crocodile hides?
I don't think it's Volynka because Baker's Tannery Colyton, the one who makes Volynka leather, has not announced anything related to doing the process on exotic skins. They also don't tan exotic leathers at all, only cowhide.Saw this on a reseller IG

Sometimes H decides to have a silver stamp for Volynka, like the HACsI know that Crocodile Volynka is in the works for Hermès, and has been for at least three years...so it will come out someday...I was told fall 2021, then summer 2022, then fall 2022 and then "someday"...so perhaps it has been finally released ?
That said, I have some doubt regarding this picture, mostly regarding the stamp which should logically be a blind one like Volynka/Barenia, and the color that seems off...but having never seen any picture much less a sample, I can't really be certain...
I wonder if it's just they are just calling it Volynka because of the color, because I'm not sure they could add the Volynka scent in there. Croc doesn't respond well to oils, and Volynka's scent comes from birch oil.Volynka Sac a Dépêche in what appears to be Porosus croc? (image from reseller)

Super curious. Will try to get some info out of Paris SA.I wonder if it's just they are just calling it Volynka because of the color, because I'm not sure they could add the Volynka scent in there. Croc doesn't respond well to oils, and Volynka's scent comes from birch oil.
Our Volynka HAC has a silver foil stamp, not a blind stamp (the Volynka Plume also has a foil stamp, of course, but that's no indicator because it's an interior stamp). It does seem really odd that there would be exotic Volynka (exotic Barenia makes a lot more sense) and the color the reseller is showing is so purple vis-a-vis the russet color of Volynka leather.I know that Crocodile Volynka is in the works for Hermès, and has been for at least three years...so it will come out someday...I was told fall 2021, then summer 2022, then fall 2022 and then "someday"...so perhaps it has been finally released ?

I got to smell Volynka today for the first time at the Hermès in the Making exhibit. It smelled much more like peat than I was expecting. And it smelled very strong!
