Vintage Speedy came back from repair with cracked piping

Other than the cracks in piping it looks fantastic for a bag that age. I would continue to use it. Maybe you could gift it to a family member or friend in the future who shares your love of LV. I gifted my 25 yr old dd with my vintage speedy 30 and 6 yr old neverfull when I did an upgrade of both. She was over the moon and loves them.

I would continue to use your lovely bag. Unless the cracking makes the bag fall apart or something, it's part of the age, imo.

Sad that the zipper repairs may have caused the cracked piping, though. I have a French Company speedy and the zipper was wearing out (the cloth part was developing a hole from years of zipping). LV said they couldn't repair it, no parts, etc. So I found a local cobbler who put in a new zipper (and kept the "pull" metal tab) and it looks wonderful, still going strong. When/if she falls apart some day, I plan on getting another vintage speedy, canvas is strong and thick.

I agree about the thicker canvas. My Vintage Speedy 40 is 28 years old, and I love the thicker canvas and the beautiful leather trim!!!

Other than the cracking on the corners that only you would notice, the bag looks beautiful! I agree with others, I would just carry it and enjoy having a vintage piece.
