Hi all-
I'm really wanting to buy a mini and I understand that the caviar in classic colors is not currently being produced. I have seen some vintage ones on resale sites which look great. The thing is- I would want to take it with me on my trip to London and the weather there is very rainy. Is that just out of the question for the lambskin especially on a vintage model? TIA!!

A Lambskin Mini is not the bag to choose for carefree use in London, regardless of whether it's new or vintage. Would you consider a Chanel Lambskin WOC (Wallet-on-a-Chain) instead? You can easily wear it under a jacket or coat in inclement weather and it lays flat. It's a great travel bag and goes easily from day to night, especially if you tuck the shoulder strap in and carry it as a clutch in the evening.

Yes except I have a caviar woc! Okay thank you for your response! I really want a black mini but caviar seems the way to go and those are so expensive on the second hand market!

Then you're all set for your London trip, mgoch!

BTW, I have a Chanel SO Black Lambskin Rectangular Mini and love it. I actually sold my Chanel Black Caviar Rectangular Mini as soon as I snagged the Lambskin one. For me, the Caviar Mini was hardy and practical but not beautiful. The Lambskin Mini is elegant and luxurious, yet just as good with jeans as it is when I'm dressed up for "date night."

Hi! I'm new here and I also just bought a vintage lambskin mini (link). It's my first Chanel and I really wanted a vintage mini square because I just love the more boxy look and yellow gold hardware. The bag is beautiful but it has some corner wear on the bottom. It's definitely not noticeable unless you pick it up and look at the bottom and kinda stare....

I wanted to buy from Fashionphile because I felt more comfortable with their authentication processes and wanted the option to return in person unlike TRR or Vestaire. I got it for $4,000 (which I'm still a tiny bit shocked by....). I'm worried the prices will keep going up. I saw some of the other more recent vintage squares are priced around $4,700 on Fashionphile.

I saw the edge/corner wear online and thought I'd see it is in person as it looked fairly minor/acceptable for a 24 year old lambskin bag to me (this was my first vintage purchase). It didn't phase me much on first look at Fashionphile or second look when I got home as I was just in awe of how beautiful it was but maybe I'm just starting to have second thoughts as the return deadline nears.

I just want some other's opinions - do you think the bottom corner wear is acceptable or should I return it and keep waiting?

If I do keep it, are there any recommendations for the corners? They look / feel more dry than the rest of the bag. Are there like conditioners or something people suggest?

I have about 8 days left for me to still return it.
