GIL's (dh's grandmother) clutch is a black Bobbie Jerome fabric clutch.

Another too bright photo that accentuates the shape.

Hi No Cute! I wish I could be more help, but I couldn't find anything like the first 2 in my books. And I was surprised that Bobbie Jerome wasn't in those books either, I've sold quite a few Bobbie Jerome bags.

It could be the navy clutch was made for the dept store, or the label is just missing. I'm not sure on the date of it either, but you probably have a good idea of when your mom bought it. Anyway, it is a beautiful leather clutch, a timeless piece!

The 2nd bag, the brown sling, is too new for my books. Maybe someone else knows??

The Bobbie Jerome is probably late 50's early 60's. I would guess a fair asking price around $35 - $40. It depends on the fabric, could be more, its hard to tell in the photos.

it'sanaddiction, thank you so much! I really appreciate your help. It's good to know that gil's bag is not super valuable...I'd feel guilty having/using it and not passing it to her only granddaughter. It would be nice to have found it, but I really am appreciative that you tried. The fabric has texture, vertical striping...hard to describe and photograh. Thank you thank you!

Yes, mine is a newby...I wonder if anyone will recognize it. Any guesses on the time frame?

I suspect Mom's bag is a Jackie O. time period. Would you concur?

Thank you again.

I just found another black clutch..now I'm confused which is gil's and where the second one came from, if it may even be Mom's. UGH! I mean, how nice to have purses appear, right...but ugh!

It's great to see some mere vintage purse lovers! :) I am starting to collect vintage Whiting & Davis bags. I have two in my collection right now, but I also have a bangle by them. In my collection thread posted in my signature, I have them pictured. Could anybody help me with dating these two?

I realize I am replying to threads that are years old, but this was the closest one I could find that mentioned Tarkor (Made in Spain). I am new on PurseForum. I just purchased this little beauty. It is a small clutch with rhinestones across the front. I have never heard of this brand. Has anyone else come up with anything on the web? I am clueless. I caught the handbag bug years ago for high fashion bags. Now my mother in law has introduced me to vintage bags. She is nearly 80 and she has all of Whiting Davis purses along with her mothers collection. She has a wonderful wall display in her home of the vintage purses.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks girls!
