Sounds like a 1" extender would meet your needs, and then when you want it at the normal length, you won't have the extra chain! Is it too long with the 2" extender? I am not sure if VCA allows the customer to specify where the extra rings are if length is added. If they don't, that wouldn't work for me.

I asked my boutique (Sydney) and they said no there can only be 2 jump rings 2 inches apart as they can't change the design. Yet I've seen someone on this forum got theirs extended but they kept the 14.5 ring with rings at 16.5 and 18.5. I've never seen anyone get jump rings at 16.5, 17.5 and 18.5.
Yeh atm leaning towards not extending. I tested 16.5 with the removable extender hanging off as the "extra chain" and I did find 2 inch hanging off sort of annoying. When I wear at 17.5 with my removable extender, 1 inch hangs off which is not so bad.
Guess I cud always get a separate 1 inch extender for 17.5 length. Yokdee's extender one is the best match I've seen yet.
Very generic. It looks like it could have come from any jeweler. I definitely was expecting a little identifiable VCA on the clasp or something, but no, it really looks like you could buy it anywhere for $5.

Yes I am. I will add, I was huge and 9 months pregnant at the time and was making a purchase to celebrate my 10yr wedding anniversary. Sooo I think those things helped my case.
the clasp looks different than the one that comes with the pendant i thought they’d use their signature clasp for extenders too. If this is the case, I might want to get it elsewhere.

I’ve been browsing Etsy and found some. I measured my pendant and it seems like the chain thickness is around 1mm?
Did you get the 1.3mm from yokdee?
Yeah, I got it to go with my yg 10 motif and the clasp looks different. Nobody can tell anyone since it’s in back, but still surprising since this one came from them.
