VCA white gold bracelet choice

I’m gonna be honest, you sound like you’re trying to talk yourself into the pave sweet because of your earrings, but you sound like you want more of a sporty impact too. I’d order the guilloche. Don’t listen to people talking about it scratching. You already said you take care of your jewelry and don’t wear it to sleep, shower, etc. and it’s not that delicate. About once a week I wash my guilloche/pave bracelet with soap and water while it’s on my wrist. It cleans it up like new. And if you really LOVE sets, you could buy the guilloche bracelet AND matching earrings for almost the price of the pave sweet.
I do agree that you shouldn't talk yourself into a piece. You should buy what you love. If you love the look of guillochet, then that's the right choice. Just be reasonably careful (I wouldn't go out and do major gardening, or clean the bathroom with solvents which could tarnish it, lol), but also be willing for a some signs of a little wear and tear. I love the sweet because I never have to think about it. It's on with whatever else I'm stacking it with for the day - currently the YG Byzantine 3 motif also 24/7 plus whatever that day calls for (or not if I'm just staying home). But if you're wearing just one bracelet all the time, then maybe the stronger presence of the guillochet would fit your lifestyle better.

I think I love a lot of things. The simple solution is to get them all. Realistically they will sit in a box and that makes me sad. My current everyday bracelet is one those permanent jewelry bracelets that young people wear. Very thin and dainty and not fancy. If I think of that then the sweet pave is the obvious choice. If I had a daughter to pass this all along to I would have an enormous collection!

Hi! I am hoping for your experienced opinions regarding an everyday white gold bracelet. I prefer the flexible style over the bangles. I would like it for everyday but I take off my jewelry for showers, sleeping, cooking, cleaning, etc. I am otherwise fairly active and clumsy so it will bear some trauma. My current pieces: WG pave sweet ear studs, WG WMOP bracelet and VA ear clips, WG medium perlee pearls of gold ring, Cartier Tank Must small, wedding set in platinum. I love my WMOP VA set but I want an all gold bracelet option for everyday wear. I realize this is completely subjective but would love other opinions. Thank you in advance!

My thoughts:

1. Six motif pave sweet bracelet: Is it too dainty? Would the flipping drive me bananas? I've seen flipped photos and though not obvious I definitely see the different I would not get the five motif due to budget which is flexible but I cannot wrap my head around it and I worry it would be a bit too much for everyday.
2. WG guilloche: love the art deco feel, love the scale, flipping not an issue, but scratching and dirt catching is a problem, and is it too blingy for casual wear?
3. 5 motif WG hammered: by far the best choice, durable and understated. Problem is its SO or MTO and I doubt I would ever qualify because I don't want a huge collection, just a handful of precious pieces, or wait for a preloved one and hope for authenticity. Could get the rose gold version but my collection is 100% white gold and that would be settling. RG picture only for illustration. Is there a chance it will come into regular collection? Is preloved a terrible choice?

I have both the WG 5 motif guilloché and the WG 6 motif sweet pavé. I got the guilloché first and find it is a little flashy for me for everyday wear. The 6 motif sweet pavé is perfect though. It is lighter and more comfortable. They look great together as well.

When I first tried on the sweet pave, it was love at first sight. At the time, it was more than I wanted to spend for an everyday bracelet. When I was ready to take another look at it, I thought it was kind of small on wrist and I liked the size and proportion of the vintage 5 motif guilloché better, so went with that. I still kept thinking about the pavé Sweet though and eventually got it as well. Bracelets are like that. It's hard to have just one.

It is a rather slippery slope. Once you get one thing, another catches your eye. Will the sweet pave work with your existing bracelet?

There’s no guarantee that a relative or friend would want any jewelry that you (or anyone) planned to pass to them; taste and sizing is so individual. Buy what you love for you; your own happiness matters.

If you’re planning to buy multiple pieces eventually, the wisdom I’ve seen here is to buy the most expensive pieces first. This minimizes price increase pain in the future, and sometimes the more expensive piece is what you really want so when you buy the expensive ones, cheaper pieces may fall off your list because you wouldn’t like them as much.

It certainly does! Far more than any other of my other options. I would likely remove it when I find my perfect everyday bracelet. It was fun whim that stuck because I never settled on anything else.

This sounds like another vote for sweet pave for me. Does the flipping bother you? It really is my only hesitation. The pictures are reassuring but I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist. Having said that, I tolerate scratches on my fine piece perfectly well.

That’s exactly how I ended up with my sweet lace earrings first and then the WMOP pieces! With tariffs looming I feel somewhat pressed to decide and that reminder makes me lean toward the pave sweet as well.

The flipping happens, it doesn't really bother me. The reverse side is still sparkly and pretty plus you get to touch the bracelet and turn them over, admiring them as you do.

I think it's better to take your time deciding and not feel pressured to buy because of tariffs or price increases. I know that might seem privileged to say, but you don't want to wind up with an expensive mistake.
Personally the flipping would bother me

I have and love the WG pave sweet 6 motif. My friend has the Guilloche 5 motif and loves hers. I think it is to some degree a matter of personal preference, so trying on both options might help you to decide!

I'm actually wearing the pave sweet bracelet today and love it. It has nice sparkle but is comfortable and lightweight. You wouldn't really even feel it on, but you definitely do see it! It mixes in seamlessly with my other WG and platinum jewelry from Boucheron, VCA, etc.

Good luck deciding!

Thank you! It looks gorgeous. That is kind of the look I'm going for. I have the plain pearls of gold ring on my right fourth finger and that is plenty fancy for me. I adore your plume de paon pieces and have considered adding one to my ever growing list!
