SA here - this is actually pretty honest answer from your SA. We did not have any control over who was offered the rare materials as they were selected by country or region-level executives typically. This can be different from boutique to boutique because an older store with more high-spend clients will receive more than a smaller boutique; and we received no guidelines on what makes a client “eligible”.

The HP is also true, though in my region we were given a (quite low) spend just to be sure that the client wasn’t a reseller, and we had to petition for them to be offered one. I think I received maybe 3 personally.
Maybe it’s different for different SAs, but I was told by an SA that the holiday pendant is offered to 3 types of pre-spend clients. Those who have spent 100k+ are offered it first, those who have spend around 10k are offered something last based on whatever’s left, there was another spend in between on whose offered after the 100k spenders; I don’t remember if it was 20k or 50k.

Maybe you’re a more honest SA, but the ones I’ve dealt with seem to have much higher end clients and don’t care for the ‘lower’ spenders such as myself.

Does anyone have any insight into the VCA customer segments. I got a look at my profile last time I was in the boutique and noticed my segment descriptor. I’m interested to know what the other profiles and the segment definitions are.

Apparently, I’m a ‘promising multi-timer’. 😊
The descriptions/labels are so funny to me! They are just right out there in the open under your name! There is also “Loyal client” which apparently does not mean that you are loyal to a certain boutique, but that you buy enough to be considered loyal to the brand. I saw this in a screenshot awhile back and asked what it meant. I’m not sure what my category is now or how it changes over time. I’m also not sure about diffent VIP designations, since I would not be in those categories.

I know, I was so surprised that I could see my segment descriptor!

They obviously think I’m up for spending more money at VCA (true) and gave me lovely service (appreciated).

It seems that I am also at this tier of "multi-timer, promising". There are many more tiers above this, with several of them named after gemstones. I have spent about USD$100k in total and have been shopping at VCA for 4 yrs++. Have not bought any high jewelry yet.

My boutique was so crowded yesterday I felt a bit uncomfortable shopping. I guess it’s my fault picking a Friday during the holiday season. Other customers were staring at my handbag, looking me up and down, listening to my convo with my SA and when I stood up to see what the jewelry looked like in the full length mirror it made me so uncomfortable. I almost had buyers remorse and felt guilty for my purchases as other customers seemed so “hungry”. It was not a luxurious jewelry shopping experience at all.
Late to seeing this but am surprised they did not take you to a VIC room, perhaps you can ask. That has been my experience and and it makes shopping so much more enjoyable. I’m sure your SA would try to do whatever they can to make your experience more enjoyable.

so interesting! did you guys ask your SA to see your profile or just happened to see it?

I must be a “annoying disappointing client, poor” if people have a 100k spend and are demeaned as a “multi-timer” who’s a “promising” client. I don’t want high jewelry, I don’t care for it. There are nice pieces from the Perlee line which aren’t high jewelry and I much prefer those. I’m going to stick to my “poor person entry level” Perlee and Alhambra preference. I’m not rich and have to work hard and save for me to own these things, so maybe im just not the typical VCA client
