I don't know if it is going to be much pricier than the white gold diamond/ rose gold pink sapphire one. Looking at the Euros converted to my currency (CDN) it is very close in price to that one. Doing basic currency conversion and taking into account small fluctuations at the time I converted, it looks like it is set to be a bit over 30K CDN for Turquoise vs a bit over 31K (31200 + tax) CDN for the wg diamond/ rg pink sapphire version here.Came across the below in IG, anyone has more intel?? I’m excited they add a gold hardware turquoise butterfly , despite I’m not really a double ring person this combo really got me tempted! But the pricing is way higher than even the pink sapphire one? Anyone has any more info?

You have got to see the BTF ring to add to your gorgeous butterfly collection.Turquoise has always been my favorite color and VCA my favorite jeweler. I received a lapis VCA butterfly pendant from my parents for my college graduation in 1998 (now lent indefinitely to my mom who bought herself the onyx but always regretted not getting the lapis.) And I have collected many VCA butterflies over the years, including these. Still, with these in my collection, I’m trying to figure out a way to justify for myself one of these new releases View attachment 5322654

Thank you for linking. I really like the color of this turquoise with the YG. So tempting! However, because I already have the pave butterfly ring in my collection, I am now eyeing the frivole btf rings too…You have got to see the BTF ring to add to your gorgeous butterfly collection.

I wonder if the turquoise is sourced from the Sleeping Beauty Mine as previous pieces or from somewhere different.
You are spot on. 100% agree. Sleeping Beauty mine closed a long time ago. The active sources for turquoise in South America are Chile and Mexico which is consistent with the VCA write up you posted that says Central and South America.Sleeping Beauty closed in 2012. In my opinion the possibility that these new pieces - or any other modern pieces - are being made from Sleeping Beauty material is remote.
The colour of the turquoise VCA uses varies hugely. VCA says they source from various locations and there are many active mines in these areas -

Turquoise - Van Cleef & Arpels
Characterized by an intense blue color, turquoise is among the first stones to be mined during Antiquity. Collections such as Alhambra®, Perlée™ and Bouton d’or feature turquoise in delicate harmonies of color, set off by white or yellow gold. Although colloquial zeitgeist does put a premium on “Sleeping Beauty”, trade value judgment does not. Value is determined by colour, clarity, presence or absence of matrix, and treatments, and geography within the Americas doesn’t factor in.
So it really doesn’t matter where any VCA turquoise is from! Clean and blemish-free material, absence of matrix, no treatments besides Zachery stabilization - these are guaranteed by VCA by default. And whilst yes, there is a trade preferred colour, most mines will output some material that matches the trade ideal, and of course preference for one’s own pieces is inherently subjective.
