Does anyone know when it’s opening?
They seem to have been delayed a bit. My SA had originally given me a date earlier this week, but it already passed with no news, and they don't appear to have opened yet from walking by. She did say they are planning some events for December but that she will get back to me about when.

Thank you for the update. I will be in NYC next week and tried to make an appointment online. The new store isn’t listed, which now makes sense if the opening is delayed. I thought about just walking in or asking my SA to intervene. I’ll definitely work through my SA.

Last year my SA (5th Ave) told me it’s for high jewelry.
This is the description from the VCA website. It certainly sounds like a high jewelry experience.

“The boutique spans over five levels, the first floor was inspired by the energy of the city, boasting double high ceilings and a large Veronese chandelier for the welcome area. Journeying further through the floor, visitors will discover carefully curated artwork leading to a crafted staircase. The walls are adorned with original mural work by the artist Fresco focusing on subtle textures, from feather-inspired décor to a poetic evocation of the sky. Moving up the stairs, level two echoes a New York City penthouse, with lush green touches and hand-painted flowered wallpaper by Fromental.

Levels three to five are fitted with private salons. Staying true to the Maison’s identity, level three offers an Art Deco inspired section including a central room and display of High Jewelry collections. By-invitation only, level four takes after one of Van Cleef & Arpels’ most cherished themes: nature. It is decorated with hand-painted floral wallpaper. Lastly, level five is the first private events space of its kind, boasting a fireplace, lounge area, bar for hosting, and adorned with tailor-made wallpaper crafted by local artisans using minerals from the city.”

I visited the new Madison Ave boutique earlier this week. It is understated elegance, serene, and intimate. I'm not sure once more people know it's open if it will remain as quiet, but there are far fewer desks, so it just can't get as busy as the Fifth Ave flagship boutique. I found it a much more relaxed atmosphere than Fifth Ave, and there didn't seem to be a rush to get you out the door to make room for the next client. Everyone welcomed the few clients warmly, and I ended up chatting with most of the SA's and the SM during my visit. My SA had been called away to Fifth Ave, so I got to work with someone new, who was charming. I asked for a tour and was able to see one of the private floors (good for small events or if VVIP's want to look at the OTT high jewelry pieces in private). There were many patrimonie (their collection just for display) and heritage pieces (older pieces, probably all high jewelry?, available for purchase), which are always a treat to see since many are one of a kind/historic. While the windows were filled with only high jewelry, I was able to look at regular collection pieces. At the time, all of the Treasure Island pieces in New York were at Fifth Ave. I was told they'd be in the window displays, but when I went back to Fifth Ave, everything had been taken upstairs for clients who were interested in purchasing them.
