I appreciate your insight and opinion, thank you! It's helpful to hear from those who have the pieces and how it's been working out. This will give me more to think about which is fine. I may also be subconsciously holding out for a blue and WG combo (if that'll be available again). I do like chalcedony when the stones are highly striated.

This is so much fun.
Me too! I am a white metal lover, so it's platinum or WG for me.
The only WG stone options are MOP or chalcedony. I already have a MOP set, but I want a blue set that pops with color!

You can SO (special order) a WG blue agate bracelet and 10 motif. However, if you are new client, they will likely not approve, but you can always ask. A SO will be 30% premium in price.

But. I am with you.. hold out! I too am waiting for something bright and happy in WG!

You're welcome! Oh one thing to add, the SA's there should have a loupe readily available mainly for when they're examining diamond pieces with the clients. If you want to be extra careful, you can ask to use the loupe to examine the prongs on back side of the motifs (front side is always smooth & flat with the round/beady prongs) to make sure they lay flat or have minimum gap between the stones. If you noticed any loose prongs or ones look visibly lifted, you can ask to have the problematic prongs tighten along with the resizing request so you don't have to send it out multiple times and wait for weeks to enjoy your bracelet.
Oh, good tips! I'll be sure to ask.

We can hold out together! While a part of me loves and understands the SO appeal, I kind of also like the surprise and suspense of waiting to see if VCA will do so themselves once there is enough customer feedback, good supply chain support, and quality materials. Is that called serendipity?

The MOP is pretty too, so I love that you have it! If I didn't wash my hands a lot, I'd be more interested though I am also afraid of its softness!

The MOP is actually quite hearty. I wash my hands; I lotion up all over my body, and I wear a lot of pearls, including MOP.
I've never had any problems with any pearl item, none.

One thing I love about MOP is that it goes with everything. I mean, everything!
I wear my WG MOP set with shorts as well as for dressier ocassions. The blue agate (or any other happy color) will have a nice pop of color, but it will be more limiting in what outfits will go with it. Just a thought in case that matters.

Plus, if you want to add earrings, 10 motif, or a 20 motif to make a set, it's all there.

For inspiration, here are my two WG MOP bracelets worn together. I really like two of the same bracelets together as it gives it more presence. We also have a TPFer who purchased two Chalcedony bracelets together, and that looks fabulous too.
Chalcedony is gorgeous, like clouds floating.

Wow, the 2 bracelet MOP looks dazzling like that too. Did you get the lengths adjusted so that they don't slide into each other and lay flat?

Here I was, thinking I could safely move away from MOP.

You are a fount of information! :hbeat:

I shortened both of them to 7", which means I removed two links. I like my bracelets loose.
Some ladies prefer it tighter, so they remove 4, 6, or even 8 links.

For me, any tighter, and it will be a nightmare to put the bracelet on/take it off by myself, and I like to be self sufficient when dressing.

Both bracelets are the same length, but when I wear them, they somehow just fall neatly into their "slots."
If you are thinking of chalcedony, two chalcedony bracelets are gorgeous too!

Hope this inspires you!

Definitely taking inspiration! I also like to dress myself (even if I have butter fingers:lol:) so I understand. Too-tight bracelets are a no-go.

I'm looking to be mindful about my purchases since I'm one of those types that don't have the urge to sell things along :amuse: I really admire those who can stick to their guns of the "x number in and x number out"!

On wrapping, for what it's worth... my opinion is it's a big no.

"Wrapping" is not the same look as wearing multiple bracelets because you will see the chain wrapped diagonal across.
This ends up looking like you wrapped a long necklace and not truly wearing three separate bracelets that lay nicely side by side.

Then, because you have to extend it to at least 21" (7" each bracelet), if you ever decide to wear it as a necklace, it will land in an awkward spot on your chest. A 21" necklace is not a complimentary length for most ppeople in my opinion.

You will definitely see more "scratching" if you wrap given the chain has to overlap diagonally.

I like wearing two of the same bracelets, so I have two WG MOP bracelets that I wear at the same time. I love the look; it looks very clean, no "wrap."

Also, I am not sure VCA will lengthen a 10 motif, which is 16.5" to 21". I thought the limit was 2." Otherwise, there is a lot of chain, and it almost needs another motif which VCA will not add an extra motif. I would ask about making it 21" to see if it's even possible. That will help you decide.

I have a WG MOP 20 motif, but I do not wear 10 motifs, so I don't know the official max length (I do think 2" is the max).
You can ask this question on the VCA Discussions forum as many ladies have lengthened their 10 motif a bit as it was too short for them.

If you have a thin neck, you could buy two bracelets and connect them. That will get you 15."
However, you will see the clasp, and I think that looks a bit cheap, like you connected two bracelets, which you did.
Some people do that and do not mind. It's all preference, but if you can wear a 15" necklace, getting two of the same bracelets is the better option in my opinion.

Also note the motif spacing for a 10 motif is not the same spacing for a 5 motif, so your created "necklace" (or bracelet) will not really look the same.

I wouldn't do it though. I think wearing a piece as it was intended it best. Otherwise, it looks hodge podgey to me.
Just my two cents. Good luck!
I especially agree with the spacing issue between wrapping a necklace and a bracelet’s spacing of motifs. It won’t look like 3 bracelets. Good luck though deciding on what to get, how fun!

Thank you for your feedback! For me, part of the shopping fun is in looking/deciding so all of the information being provided is great.

I finally made the decision to sell my VCA Sweet Alhambra necklace and bracelet. I’m no longer in love with VCA and the style of their products are becoming less special, as every celeb and influencer owns something from them. I like to remain classic and discreet with my luxury goods.
