VBH: New Italian leather line at Neimans, Bergdorfs, etc, also has exotics, supposed to be handmade. Look classic and exceptiona, although I did notice a suede lining versus a lambskin lining. A pseudo-Hermes substitute with a more reasonable price? Of course there's no TRUE substitute for Hermes, but it's so hard to obtain one, even with moneyk, begging, kissing up to SAs, etc. So I've ordered aVBH Ostrich bag for 7K, did notice crocs for 18K, will report back on what comes in. Anyone else have any experience with the VBH brand?

I almost pulled the trigger on a VBH a while ago through Farfetch, but FF or the store selling it played me around. I've only heard great things about VBH and I wouldn't have hesitated if it was a 'normal' transaction. Having bought 2 bags this year from H and BV I don't need anymore bags ATM but I do think VBH are up there with the very best so a very good choice.

The VBH Trevi came in--it is so beautiful! It's a deep wine color (darker than the scan from NM) with gold hardware. It's not as huge as I generally like my handbags for day-to-day carrying, but it truly is a work of art. It arrived in a VERY heavy VBH khaki-colored box and had a gold satin sleepy bag, didn't have fifty layers of tissue paper, but I can swaddle it myself if I feel like it. It is bigger than a Hermes 31cm Bolide, and the quality of skin was, frankly, great. The stitching and handwork were very meticulous and looked hand-sewn; also has a metal plate inside with edition size and individual number (I got #16 out of 300). I would rate it as between Gucci and Hermes in terms of quality, and a very nice substitute since Hermes is appears to be refusing most ostrich orders these days. Much recommended!
