Wasn't Jessica hooking up with Dane Cook when she did a movie with him? And Bam told Howard Stern that he slept with her at her parents house while she was married. They tried to say Nick cheated at one point but they've never tied a girl to it.

Nick said that he felt Jess becoming distant and she blindsided him by asking for a divorce whilst they were on their way to celebrate Thanksgiving. He asked her to try marriage counselling with him and to work on the marriage as all marriages go through rough patches. He said that she refused and moved out after Thanksgiving. He wrote 'What's Left Of Me' and 'Resolution' about it. He seemed pretty devastated about it.

Jess said that she felt herself growing up and Nick refused to accompany her on a trip to Africa (which would also have been their wedding anniversary). In Africa she felt that life had a bigger journey for her and after watching The Notebook on the way home and seeing a double rainbow in Africa she felt it was a message to move on. She asked Nick for a divorce on her return. She wrote 'I Belong To Me' and 'Let Him Fly' about it.

I know way too much about these two!:shame:

Yea I do remember her mentioning something about the African trip now that you said it. I wonder why she wouldn't want to work at her marriage. What's going on with her dad? Did he ever come out?

The Notebook and a double rainbow is indication you should end your marriage? I guess those dumb moments from her reality show were real and not scripted.

Yep. I distinctly remember watching "Making The Video" and Vanessa coyly saying, "I'll take 'what's left' of you, Mr. Lachey..." It was so odd, because this was probably the 1st time he had opened up about the song, the inspiration for it, etc and she was ready to grind up on that thing.

vanessa also interviewed nick & jess during the height of her MTV days and their reality show. she always thought he was super hot (her words) even then, but were just friends. somehow she did his video and the rest is history.

i don't think nick cheated. i just think that was a PR stunt in order for her to remain America's sweetheart bc she was so popular back then!
