Anyway I am sure you’ll find your way to these splendid earrings (in Vancouver or not … the only time I could try them on was in Harrods so just keep looking 👀)
@lvchanellvr : same at my place. Only 2 days a year with snow and you could tell that hell is on earth with the driving conditions 😓

While Canada doesn't share stock with the U.S, when I was making a phone order from the US the SA was able to check inventory across US and Canada. It seems like the systems and visibility are connected at least. Hopefully your spend history will transfer.

Welcome to Canada @Swellgal ! I have experience with the Vancouver boutique and a couple SAs there. You can DM me if you want to hear about them. I think like any boutique there are great SAs and less great SAs.

I agree that you should commit to the boutique in Vancouver. Even before the tariff discussions, I think the border services duty and taxes would be 20.5% for bringing items into BC from the US. So it wouldn't make sense to continue to shop with your US boutique.

I've always heard here that your total spend (in different countries) will all count toward MTO/SO but that for HP it is more related to your spend within the boutique you are interested in obtaining the HP from. I'm not sure how difficult it is to get HP in the Van boutique, I have not tried to obtain one.

I've also been told Vancouver receives many US customers which contributes to the competition. I think it was substantially better pricing for Americans given our weaker dollar. However I am curious if this will change since the latest PI, as our prices increased more than US prices. There doesn't seem to be much advantage from a pricing perspective anymore.

Oh also, I don't know if the e boutiques are the exactly the same for inventory, it's an interesting question. When I have called CS, they are always US based SAs and no one asks where I'm located prior to checking for stock.

Thank you so much! I will DM you very soon. I appreciate the response!

Swellgal and family are immigrating to Canada and our nearest VCA will be the Vancouver boutique. In my search for information on this location, it sounds like people have posted some negative experiences, unfortunately. I’m wondering if anyone has an SA that they recommend (or any to stay away from)?

Also, does the online boutique for Canada share inventory with the US? Because I was trying to access the Canadian page (from the US) and they appear to be the same, just with different currency.

Lastly, I am coming from a very small boutique and I am concerned that due to the large population of Vancouver and the fact that there are only two locations in all of Canada, my annual spend will never get me anywhere close to a holiday pendant or any other little gifts/perks. Can anyone speak to this?
Thanks so much!!!
Wanted to share my experience. I had a brief visit to Vancouver and went to see the boutique. I was honest and said I wasn’t planning to make a purchase but would love to try on a few pieces to help make my wishlist because I have no boutique in my home town and order remotely with a Vegas SA. The lovely SA proceeded to answer all my questions, let me try on several pieces, and offered me a drink. I looked not fancy, sweatpants and a tshirt because I recently had surgery and nothing feels comfortable. My only jewelry was an Apple Watch, plain wedding band, pearls of gold band and sweet pave earrings. I had a great experience and I’m sure you will too. They also had a fair bit of inventory! I was impressed.

There were also many other high end boutiques within one block of walking! It felt like luxury heaven.

Vancouver is a beautiful city! I’m sure you’ll love it.

Thank you so much for your review! This makes me very hopeful. I also had another TPFer give me an SA recommendation, and she had a good experience with that SA, so I’m looking forward to making it my new home boutique.

Hi! Welcome to Canada! 🇨🇦🍁 I don't live anywhere near a boutique and all of my purchases have been done remotely (if that's something you'll consider), although I've visited the boutique in Toronto. There are 2 boutiques in Toronto, Yorkdale and Bloor with Bloor being the flagship. You can order from anywhere in Canada and you'll be able to return within 30 days if bought remotely, unlike the exchange only policy if bought in person in the boutique.
The e-boutique does share inventory with US e-boutique but does not share inventory with the 3 actual boutiques. That's why you see the same stock when shopping US eboutique and Canada eboutique.
P.S.
I have a friend who have bought from Vancouver and didn't have the best experience and I can share the name with you if you want.

Thank you so much! That’s good to know about the e-boutique inventory. I was able to hear from another about who to avoid and who to work with at the Vancouver boutique. I wonder if your friend had the same names?

Welcome to Canada! The Vancouver VCA is my closest store, and I have a great SA there, DM me if you’d like some info! Their service is great, they take the time to properly host you and I just picked up a bracelet from Vancouver, they resized and mailed it to me (in a different province) really quickly and my SA kept me up to date each step of the way. So overall I would highly recommend!
