Van Cleef or Cartier bracelet (help me decide)

I love the VCA more but I don’t think it would be good for stacking (at least not if you’re OCD like me). So I’d choose JUC in that case.

Hi everyone reviving this because I put my order in for the van cleef! I’m so excited! They said 6-8 weeks, for those of you who ordered, did it take about that long? I’m planning to shorten it to size 17. For those whose bracelets are that length, can I you join two to make a little choker or is it too short?

Congrats!!! I wouldn’t wear a 5 motif as a choker - imo it doesn’t look great/looks unauthentic. However if you’re petite, you may be able to get away with it?

Thank you! I’m uncertain about that too and will mostly wear it as a bracelet however these tik tok ladies inspired me with regards to the choker thing. Do you ladies/gents on here not like this look/vibe? Pics are from blondielux and shishi btw, just to give them credit.

I fell in love with VCA just before I turned 20 (almost 20 years ago). At the time I mostly wore Tiffany and DY, along with Chanel costume jewelry.
In my eyes, VCA’s Vintage Alhambra was ideal for older, sophisticated, classy women. When I finally felt I was of an appropriate age, I made my first purchase.

With that said, to be brutally honest I find it really tacky to wear a 5 motif like that - but to each their own. The motifs are too close together and the choker look just screams “fake” to me.

I have followed Shiran since she was writing posts for a blog, when she was only a Mom of one, before she became an “influencer”. I’m not familiar with the other person. While I enjoy her posts, I don’t follow “trends” that influencers post (and get paid on their posts/views) on social media.

Ultimately, you should wear your jewelry however you like…whatever brings you joy .
