Hi guys, I know these are two very different bracelets but please help me decide between the VCA guilloche and diamond Alhambra bracelet or the JUC regular bracelet with diamonds. I do have a 10 motif guilloche necklace which really made me lean towards the matching bracelet however I will stack the bracelet with bangles and I think the JUC is better for stacking and also i think it will bother me if the diamond motifs constantly flip over which I have heard is an issue. Any opinions welcome, especially from those who have one or both of these!

IMO, if you love two very different items, you will buy both eventually. Unless you find a third item
that makes you forget the other two. If I were to choose which to buy first, I would have to decide
whether I need to complete a set or a stack first. But, all things being equal, I would also choose the harder one
to find, and the one most likely to increase in price. Which would be the five motif.

For me personally, of the two options, the JUC is more my taste. Edgy rather than feminine. I also prefer more metal
to pave. But, when I was considering which brand best suited my style and personality, I fell in love with Bulgari and with
The designs of Verdura Belperron. If I were to choose VCA or Cartier, I would have picked buton d’or and panthere respectively. Have fun deciding :)

Thank you all! To be honest I think you are right that I’ll get them both eventually, but I’m not budgeted to get both this year, so I guess it depend which one I want to wear alone which is probably the 5 motif. Also to answer your question @chanellover333, I will probably stack these with each other eventually but for now some gold and diamond bangles like the one on my right hand in this photo! Which is another consideration because I think the 5 motif will get scratched up in this stack but the JUC will work better?

I have neither but the pave motifs flipping would really bug me! I have always admired the JUC with diamonds, I think it is a stunning piece.

ETA - I guess if you shorten the 5 motif the flipping would be minimized so maybe that isn't a consideration.

They'd both work nicely with this stack, IMO. You really can't go wrong with either.

I'd get the cartier given the impending price increase - unsure about Van Cleef's price increase cadence for now.

I also prefer bangles over chain bracelets but ultimately if you're going to add both - I'd get the Cartier one first.

If you're willing to expand out - I personally got the Bvlgari demi serpenti pave bracelet out and it's my favorite currently.

I have the JUC diamond head, Pave + Onyx Bracelet, and regular Guilloché (not pave) with matching 10 motif. Here are my thoughts:

JUC is great and edgy. I love how simple it is to put on and take off. Very easy to stack with pretty much anything. Sometimes the nail part gets caught on clothing, especially when getting dressed or undressed.

All motifs 100% will flip, it’s just more noticeable on the Pave. I’ve been wearing the Pave + Onyx almost regularly since I got mine last year. I have a little trick to get it stop flipping - I just twist a couple motifs over twice, making the bracelet essentially “tighter”. I did have the bracelet shortened, and of course I could shorten it more for an extremely snug fit to completely stop the flipping, but then I wouldn’t be able to put it on and remove it myself - which is important for me.

Do you think you would ever wear your 10 Motif + 5 Motif together as a 15 necklace?
If yes, I would go for the Guilloché + Pave first.

I generally like completing sets before moving onto something else. I also personally enjoy seeing the shine of my Guilloché and my Pave on my wrist :love:

Both bracelets are stunning in their own right, but nearly impossible to compare since they offer something different.

If you know you will add both pieces to your collection eventually, the question becomes, which piece do you see yourself enjoying more until the end of this year? Which piece lights you up when you think about wearing it during summer and the holiday season?

I hope this helps, and I will be looking forward to seeing what you decide .

This is really helpful, thank you! I thought about it, and yes I would link my 10 motif with the 5 motif and I might also hook it on the end of the 10 motif to create a lariat look sometimes like the photo attached. So it does perhaps make sense to buy that first! I see the making your 20 motif or 10 plus 5 into a lariat thing is very popular right now, does anyone do this often and does it damage your pieces?

It sounds like you might have your answer

In 2022 I wore my Guilloché as a lariat to a wedding, with the lariat on my back (hair up, open back outfit). I unfortunately had to take it off as it felt too heavy for me. I get body aches and pains easily . So the lariat ended up back on my wrist .

I haven’t tried my BA as a lariat only because the blue on my bracelet vs 10 motif are very different shades. VCA is going to replace the motifs on my bracelet to match my necklace (for a fee, of course), but I’m waiting until winter as they need both pieces in their possession.

In my experience, adding the necklace + bracelet together does not cause any damage. I have layered my 10 Guilloché + 10 BA on a few occasions. I was worried the Guilloché may be too rough against the Agate, but it seemed to be fine. No scratches or anything!

Your Guilloché necklace + future Guilloché/Pave bracelet will look stunning as a lariat .

I think Juc works best for your current stack. I would personally pick Alhambra and complete the set.

Hi everyone reviving this because I put my order in for the van cleef! I’m so excited! They said 6-8 weeks, for those of you who ordered, did it take about that long? I’m planning to shorten it to size 17. For those whose bracelets are that length, can I you join two to make a little choker or is it too short?

I have two bracelets am able to join the necklace into an almost choker. I did keep the original length though at 7.5”in which is a tad loose on the wrist. If I shortened to 17cm, I don’t think I could wear as a necklace.
