First of all let me say I'm sorry about your loss. Well wishes to you and your family.

Now to all your goodies....LOVE the bag! That's a definitely a beauty that will stand out when you wear it. Why the heck not and spend the gift money on something fun like that! Very pretty jewelry...looks very nice on you. The star fob is fun too. Love the wallet too...I have a double zip cloth one I have been using, but it's very summery. I need to find one for the price you found to use during fall and winter. I can't justify spending a few hundred dollars on one. Enjoy all your new finds! :)

Thank you. I love wallets and have many but try not to spend too much on them; but sometimes I get lucky and find a beauty at a great price! I have a fabric version of the double zip accordion wallet and I love it.

What an amazing outlet score! You hit the jackpot with that Ryder, simply gorgeous. Congrats on your 15 year work annivesary

Gorgeous bag!

Great purchases! and my condolences on your recent losses.

Thank you all! I am trying to stay away from the outlet and only buy bags that are special; but it was the combination of traveler's checks, coupon, and feeling blue that sent me on a mission to buy. I am so glad that I found this bag because it is definitely very special!

She posted and two mins later I had one on hold. Been waiting over a year for that bad boy. Found one for a friend too. She getting hers today because its at her home store. I have to do a charge send today.

So happy that I posted and helped you to score your bag and that you got one for your friend too, enjoy! You have helped me to score some great Coach items many times in the past!

Thank you. You are really going through a rough time, much worse than me. Just keep going and remember that things will ease up - and treat yourself to something nice and frivolous to help you smile.

Can you take a day with hubby and just go wandering/browsing/shopping? That's very therapeutic too. You must have some wonderful malls near you (that's a great city you live in/near). Do it as a full day, don't hesitate about trying things on, and *refuse* to feel guilty about *any* part of it. And plan it at least a week ahead of time, so you get the fun of anticipation as well. (I know how shallow this all sounds, but it's true, it's fun, it genuinely helps, and it gives you easy, fast, "happy places" to remember when the brain starts cycling on more upsetting things.) :hugs:

Okay, now for my BIG purchase. Thursday was a difficult day for me. I took the day off of work to attend the funeral of my favorite Aunt. By coincidence it was only 2 days after the anniversary of my Mother's death and while I was at the cemetery I went to visit the graves of my parents. Then at the funeral luncheon I heard some bad news about my cousin who is very ill.

Needless to say I was in a sad and sober mood but as I headed home I realized that I was on the highway that would take me directly to the outlet and that I had some travelers checks burning a hole in my Coach wallet and that I was carrying a tiered outlet coupon in my Coach purse. I decided that I could use a little "retail therapy" to cheer me up and so I headed to the outlet.

There weren't a lot of FP deletes there. I liked the whiplash bags but they were similar in size and color to bags that I already own. I liked some of the big feather bag totes, but I prefer shoulder or crossbody bags. I don't care for satchels or handle totes.

But then I saw this bag and all my rules went out the mall door. I am a short woman and it is too big for me, the strap is too long, and it is probably too heavy - but I don't care. I love this bag and the price was great - want to see what I got?!
I am sorry to hear about your aunt and your difficult day. God helps us through some trying times. I am sorry you had to go through all that. I know what you mean about retail therapy. I have done the same thing!

I totally didn't need the next item because I have so many wallets and wristlets; but it was a gorgeous item and an unusual color so how could I resist? Of course, I didn't resist!

This is the Madison Leather Double Zip Accordion Wallet 52102 LI D1R in the olive grey color. It retailed for $248 but I got it at the outlet with the coupon for only $49.50!

I certainly don't need another wallet but this one is gorgeous and there was no way I could say "No" to that price!
Gorgeous wallet clutch! Great for days when you don't want to carry a big bag inside. Love it!

Good suggestion to spend a fun day with my DH, but not shopping - unless we are shopping for a car or an appliance. He's a wonderful guy but I never take him shopping, it's just not his thing!

Everything is beautiful Katev. Thanks for sharing all your lovelies, granny.

Thanks so much, I'm really thrilled with my purchases. Especially since there were practically free AND I was able to make good use of the maximum value of my coupon!

Congrats on your beautiful Rhyder.:smile1:

Thank you!

You know, I feel like I've got my Ginger back - only better! Let me explain.

Four years ago (I can't believe it has been that long!) I fell in love with a bag called Ginger and hunted for it. I finally found one at the outlet in Pleasant Prairie WI and put it on hold. It was $276 - almost the same price as my Rhyder ($282) - so I made the long drive up to Wisconsin to get Ginger. But when I finally saw her in real life I just couldn't make the bag work for me, no matter how hard I tried.

The bag had a similar silhouette to my Rhyder but Ginger was stiffer and more boxy, not soft and slouchy like Rhyder. And the strap was non-adjustable and it was too long and kept slipping off my shoulder. Also the bag kept flipping over, even when I carried it crossbody, so that I looked like a fisherman with tackle box on my hip! It was heavier too. It broke my heart but I had to leave Ginger behind (see the link below). I think that a tall woman could carry off Ginger with no problems but that just isn't me!

But the Workwear Rhyder is soft and forms to my body. The strap is long but adjustable. It is perfect for me when I wear it crossbody and a little long when I put it on my shoulder - but at least it stays in place.

And Rhyder is a sharper, more-edgy style too! I also like the fact that it comes with the feather fob. I had considered getting one of the feather fobs when they came out but never did - and now I have one! It's been 4 years but I am happy that I passed on Ginger because Rhyder is definitely a better choice for me!
