Hi ladies,
I just finished framing Carpe Diem and thought to post it here...

The scarf was probably one of my first Hermes purchases about 16 years ago. I have worn it several times, but have more enjoyed looking at it.

Then, I got inspired with beautiful pics of framed scarves in this forum!

I wanted to have a UV shield for this one. And to show the contrasting hem, I ordered a 40" square custom frame with archival grade mats, board, and non-glare UV-safe glazing. Using a silk thread, I tethered the upper hem to the board.

At a frame store specialized in archival display for artists, materials were very affordable except for the glazing, which sure was pricy but I did not dare to take a risk. Still, total cost was less than that of one H scarf.

I'm glad with the result. And now, want to frame other H scarves too...

By no means is this a masterpiece. I pored over what information I could find and managed to create this page marker. My fingers are covered in Krazy Glue because it seems as if my fine motor skills never developed past age 6.

This thread is great! The ladies of Hermes are so creative. Right now I can only dream of a Hermes, so my felted miniatures will have to do for me. I want to try to make a Lindy next!
