Codygirl, congratulations on making a fur collar yourself! To answer your question, my collars are curved, so they are narrower in the middle than the ends. If I measure the outside (ie the furry side) of the ends, they are around 5.7 inches (with a one inch margin either way). Please post pics of yours! :smile1:

thank you for the compliments you guys... i was one day sitting in front of my computer and checking out the "Your Hermes DIY" ... i saw there were so many great inventions .. and i liked the ribbon-made pompoms the most...and i was trying to follow the instructions to make it... but it didn't work...:( and then i saw my little note book and thought that i might do something with the ribbon and the notebook.. and that's how i came up with this... =)

Thank you so much for responding. I am sure having the curve is much better.

I love your blog and I have to say we have VERY similar style of dressing. I am a huge fan of white blouses...I think it is one of the best looks around. Less is more attitude!
I am currently obsessed with vintage belt buckles. Here is a picture of my elephant one.

Codygirl - did you make your fur collar? It's beautiful and I love the way you tied your scarf with it in your beautiful modeling photo. And that's some exquisite belt buckle, too! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
The belt buckle is from ebay....vintage Mimi di N. Love it!!!!
I wore it with white blouse, jeans and riding boots and of course an H scarf!! I happened to run into some TPFers at the Madison Ave store.
on the same day.
I actually stop in some random leather and fur store and told the guy what I wanted. It is not curved like MT's (which are perfect) but for me....it works!!!!

I am going to have an off white one made. MT - hope you do not mind the biggest form of flattery...copying. I did see a collar on one of the TPF ladies in the H store and the idea rolled from there. Then I saw yours....the rest is history. I like projects!
PS - compliments abound on you and your style. I am a big fan of pearls, too. Love to wear them with white t-shirts, skirts and riding boots!!
My H collection just got a little bigger. I got a Tsako bag!!! Love vintage and anything messenger!:yahoo::yahoo:
