UGGs sizing thread!

I'm considering getting some uggs and after reading the tall/short uggs thread i'm still not sure which is best for me! I wear jeans mainly and I don't really plan on tucking my jeans into them (not my style) but I was thinking that I want the tall ones because it'll keep my legs warmer in the crazy michigan weather. If it helps- I mainly wear my Citizens jeans (ava) so they're not bootcut or flare and moreso a straight leg.

Also! Size wise- I know you should size down- but how much? I wear a 8.5 in shoes like Nike, Saucony etc but a strict 9 in heels. What size would be best for me?

hi sprinkles - I have a pair of tall uggs and they fit over my jeans, but most of them are bootcut.. so I'm not sure if they would fit under straight legs? Perhaps best to wear your Avas when you go to purchase them (assuming you're not ordering online...)

I sized down half/1 size. I'm usually either a 7.5 or 8 and I bought 7s. HTHs! You'll LOVE how warm they keep you!!!

I just bought my daughter a pair of them..we got a half size smaller for her..shes an 8 1/2..so we bought 8's.They fit barely..LOL..under jeans

I have a pair of short and tall uggs. If your jeans are bootcut, the tall ones will fit under. The skinny and straight cut jeans look better with the short boot, you can tuck it in or fold it up ... the tall ones won't fit under at all. I wear a size 8 and bought my uggs in a size 7. HTH

Thank you ladiesss! I got them from a reputable ebay seller with a good return policy so i'm hoping they work out! I ended up getting shorts in an 8

I have a pair of the tall Uggs (pink!). I normally wear size 8 or 8.5, and I got the 8, which fit perfectly. They do fit fine under my jeans, but all of my jeans are bootcut. I don't think it would work under skinny jeans!

I've got tall uggs as well and as stated they do fit under boot cut jeans very nicely!
I had to go down a full size.

I had a pair of them and it really depends on how tight the jeans are and how big the flare is (if you're wearing flared legs). All of my jeans are different. Sometimes you could see the boot under the leg of my jeans...sometimes you can't.

I really think they look better over jeans and trousers, IMHO.

You don't want people to think you have enormous calves!

correct me if i am wrong. but they are only available in whole sizes. i always to go one size down. there is a style available this year that zips up. may work better for you.

I have a pair of tall UGGs and I could wear all my jeans on them if I wanted to, but I don't because it looks a bit silly to me. Then again, I don't think I have any straight leg jeans, they're all bootcut and a bit flared. As for the size, mine are one size smaller than my regular shoes.

My Uggs fit under all of my jeans. I guess it would look strange if you tried to stuff them under skinny jeans. Haha.

I wondered if you all could help me with this question. I'm about to purchase my first pair of UGG boots. Yes I know I'm behind on fashion but I've finally found the pair I've got to have. My question is do these boots generally run small or are they true to size? I've found the pair I want online so trying it on is not an option.

size down a whole size. If you wear a 7, buy a 6.

I was wondering the same thing. I want to order a pair, and won't be near anywhere to try them on. So it doesn't vary - just a straight up whole size down for everyone?
