Yes it is worth the price, definitely,. The leather smells like REAL leather, not paint or chemicals. It is soft and supple and gorgeous! The Turnlock is mostly for decoration. I am a drawstring gal (although I think the new term is "bucket bAg") and this one is lightweight and classic with a little bit of an edge amd with my feather fob on it it will look great!
I played with it and the leather is lovely, but the little turnlock thingamabob on the drawstring was really hard for me to use. I could see myself getting frustrated with that really quickly. And it's not a contender for me until there's one with silver hardware anyway, so I'm safe for now.
I haven't liked many of the recent Coach bags, but just saw this on their website and really liked it! I was actually contemplating buying the similar looking bucket bag that Tory Burch has but am now very tempted by this one instead. They're about the same price too!

I also saw the TB. although I think they look similar, I've had nothing but problems with TB bags. You might want to do a search here and check out what others have to say before purchasing one. the good thing about coach is that the do stand behind their products and will have it fixed if anything ever happens to it free of charge. so definitely check out what other tpfers have to say about TB. would love to know what you decide!
I don't actually own anything from Tory Burch so have no experience with what their quality is like! I did do a search here last month and I don't think I could actually find much mention of the Tory Burch bucket bag though, think it just hasn't really been talked about much at all...
I do like Coach (as evidenced by the several Coach bags I own!). However I don't live in the US and I'm not sure how the warranty works overseas, as have never needed to use it. (Actually... I wonder if should test it out - one of the small wallets I own and bought last June - according to the receipt exactly a year ago! - is starting to come apart at the button...)
Also I love blue, and the blue colour for this bag seems to look amazing on their website!
Anyway, will be visiting the US next week so am looking forward to seeing what the bag looks like in real life! They have it here but it's £445 which works out to $690...! A bit annoyed that I'll have just missed the Lord and Taylor 25% off sale though, but think at least Macy's has the 10% off visitor discount...

I really like the style. Not so sure about the leather though, I think I prefer the leather that was used on the legacy duffles or the Phoebes. Am hoping the leather will soften up once I liberally apply Collonil to the bag (need to go and buy some first though). Absolutely love the colour. Also love that the shoulder strap is convertible to a cross body and vice versa - reminds me a lot of the legacy duffles, and I think it's a really nice way of converting (as opposed to having extra hanging straps).
As an aside - I'm not quite sure how good Coach's repair policy is. I have a small Coach wallet that had its binding coming apart after 1 year of use, and so I visited several Coach outlets looking for an identical or similar wallet. I did mention to the SAs that I was looking for a replacement and what happened to my wallet and not one of them mentioned anything about being able to repair my old wallet. I didn't bother trying to ask further about this though as I was only visiting and repair is not realistic within the time frame while I was there...

I got this bag on sale and really like it! Have wanted a drawstring type handbag for awhile now, and thought this would be the perfect choice, especially for an upcoming trip. The leather is very soft, it also has a magnetic top closure, and the turnlock actually holds the drawstring from opening as a safety feature. Think I'll be real happy with this purchase!
