Turnlock repair question

I would definitely recommend replacing the turnlock yourself since there is a source for them. I have not had a good experience with Coach replacing turnlocks. I have a Dinky they replaced the turnlock on twice and the second time they did it, they introduced a HUGE scratch on the leather next to the turnlock base. Luckily you can't see it when the bag is closed, but when I open it, there she is for all to see. I was really irritated and they didn't even offer an apology for it. Now that 3rd turnlock is quite discolored and looks a mess but I'm not getting it replaced. I love my Dinky anyway. I've been carrying it a lot lately as I like smaller bags and I've been having mobility issues so it is easy to carry as a crossbody so I can keep my hands free.

Thanks all. I messaged the seller and my turn locks are on the way. He even sent me instructions on how to install. I will try to upload the instructions tomorrow (well now later today). He was so easy to work with.
I'm so glad you asked this question, because I have a bag that needed one. I happened to stop by a shoe repair place and they happened to have what I needed and did it on the spot for me for $12. But it's good to know where to buy them if we need them!

I'm not sure if my information is correct BUT it used to be that you could take your bag to a Coach store and they would replace the turnlock for you.

If I were you I would call the Coach 800 number and ask them if Coach stores will replace it OR if the stores won't do it, if Coach would send you a new one.

The turnlock is really easy to replace and I've replaced them myself.

If Coach tells you they don't do that any longer, just message me and I'll give you a link to the ebay seller who sells the replacements for about $5.99.

I also have a turnlock repair question about my preloved Ramblers Legacy. The turnlock works fine but the turnock piece is set in the bag a little loose, like the pieces that hold it in may just need to be adjusted. So my question is if you take apart a turnlock, can you reattach without weakening the metal, or is it better to just replace with a new piece? Hope that makes sense! TIA!

You can reattach. I have not done it myself but lots of people in the rehab forum have done it many times.
