I really can't make up my mind. I'm sure I will have one of each soon enough but for now I need to choose one.

Does anyone have both bags who can post a photo wearing both bags at the same time please? I am worried the Hamilton large tote will be too big. But I worry about the Selma being too structured. I can't go and see them in person as there isn't a store near me that carries them. I'm 5' 7 so i'm tall enough to carry a large bag but when I see photos of people carrying the Hamilton it does look big.

Am I correct in thinking this isn't the same bag? I think thats whats throwing me off with the Hamilton. It looks huge in some photos and not in others.....

The Hamilton is quite a bit taller than the Selma. (The large Hamilton) those pics- the one on the left is the large saffiano- the one she is wearing is regular leather but that one is much wider than any Hamilton I have ever seen. If you search on here under modeling pics you should see plenty of both. Are you looking at the hamilton in saffiano leather?

I love it in brown. I'm very new to this brand. I've had Mulberry and Louis Vuitton up till now. I really love that Hamilton I posted (the one on the left) but I also really love the Selma. Its a tough decision. Is there something about the Saffiano that is different to the regular Hamilton?

The Hamilton is more flashy than the Selma. The chain and lock stand out. The Selma is a bit more conservative and refined. As far as size the Hamilton is a lot taller and about the same width I think!

I like both...just depends on your personal style.

I don't normally carry a handbag. I have a big bag with my son's things in it. This would be for whenever I get the chance to go somewhere nice without the kids :D

I would like to get a collection of bags so this would just be the first. I wish there were shops close enough to have a look before I buy. I can return anything I don't like of course but it would be easier to get it right first time.

Yes, the saffiano is structured, will hold it's shape and has that coating on it so it's easy care. The large hamiltons in regular leather, while beautiful get VERY smooshy and lie completely flat after not long. I love both Hamilton and Selma for different reasons. The Hamilton looks great with the lock and chain, but it is definitely bigger than the Selma. I love the Selma for it's simplicity and shape. It is smaller but structured so it is nice and keeps things organized. I also like the option of the longer strap when needed. If I were you, I would go into a store and try them both on. You are tall enough to pull either off. I am 5'10" and the large Hamilton is still big but look proportioned to my frame. HTH!

I have both the Hamilton N/S in Luggage (regular leather) Croc Embossed & the Large Tan Selma. pics below..

As you can see the my 1.5yr Hamilton is a little bit slouchy and flat with only my wallet, sunnies & glasses cases and few smaller items inside. This is due to the buckle and lock, which are beautiful and totally make the bag along with the gold chain, but it adds alot of weight! It looks worse when you wear it using the shoulder strap. I find I have to add in a chunky woolen scarf so the bag looks fuller and upright. In terms of size i'm just under 5 feet tall, and this size is perfect for me, only because i wear it with the strap & i like my bags big.

In the pic below had to stuff my makeup bag inside the Hamilton so that it could photograph nice next to my new well postured Selma! :p
