Trinity XXS (1.8mm) 3 bands engraved with dates (apologies for the resolution - really had to zoom in)

I received conflicting opinions from SAs about whether the mini could be engraved. It can be

It came out perfect.

I had them engrave my platinum 'Engraved' wedding band in capital block letters which came out much deeper and has taken a bit to wear it down. Both times they did a top notch job and double checked everything

That looks great! Maybe I could have dates put in mine also. That's an idea since I'm looking at the larger trinity ring. Thank you for posting the pic! They did a great job!!

I think cartier gives attention to details. They didnt mess up mine. They had me check it first before I signed the papers. I believe if they mess it up or made a mistake they are gonna replace it as long as the mistake is on their part. When you write down what to engrave write it clearly and make sure the SA understand everything written. Dont use cursive. They are gonna let you choose from their list of fonts.

I'm sorry if I was unclear. I meant I never got my rings engraved outside of Cartier because I never wanted any outside engraver to mess it up. I didn't even know Cartier does in house engraving until yesterday because of this thread. Wish I had known about I when we bought 10 years ago. Now I'm going to look into it because I've always wanted to engrave my rings and bracelet. Thanks so much for the tips though! So good to know.

Engravings can always be "removed" (buffed out) - if you do go outside Cartier you need to be clear that they will not remove the imprints already inside the ring - the serial number, size etc

The boutique will do free engraving within 90 days of purchase (after that is a nominal fee). In NYC it takes about a week or less. Special characters they can do include hearts and infinity symbols. The number of characters depends on ring size (as I've found, they can squeeze in a few more than the form says)

I have a Trinity but it is not engraved. My husband bought me the Love ring in Paris on our honeymoon and had it engraved in French. It's hard to see from the pics, but it says De Paris Avec Amour (From Paris with Love). They even engraved a little heart before his initials. I attached a couple of pics, just so you could see what the engraving looks like. They have several different fonts and sizes to choose from.
