I am mainly a hand held purse girl, but sometimes it can be difficult to juggle the bag and other things, so I am loving the idea of a handheld bag with optional shoulder strap. I tried on the Trevi at my local LV boutique and I love the bag in general, but the shoulder strap just seemed odd. It was very stiff since it was new and maybe that would get better with use, but it just seemed like it wouldn't stay on the shoulder very well. Plus the strap seemed just a tad too short, even at the longest length.

So, I'm curious to know how many of you actually use the shoulder strap? Does it stay on your shoulder easily? Does the strap soften in time? Does the bag hang at a comfortable length for you?

TIA!

i had the trevi gm (so sad that i had to let her go ) and i used the shoulder strap all the time. it definitely softened up a bit with use! it was a teeny bit short but i liked the length overall. it's one of the most beautiful LV bags imho!!!

I have the Trevi PM and use the shoulder strap. It is definitely stiff 'cause my bag is almost new. Just used it for a few days. It will be next one to come out for a longer stint.... I rotate my black and brown bags during winter.

I'm the opposite. I am more of a shoulder bag girl and love my Trevi GM. The straps do soften up so don't worry but the bag does stay stiff. Sometimes my bag will hang behind me versus besides me. I'm 5'7" and the length is fine.

i use the shoulder strap sometimes and it does soften up after use. :) it stays on my shoulder....it's nice to have the option! and i love the extra strap just hanging there... haha

I have a trevi pm and I don't use the strap much. I am a hand held person as well, but I just fell in love with this bag, so I didn't care that it had a strap.

im pretty much a hand held gal but will use the strap when i need both my hands free. i normally just dont leave the house w/ the bag on my shoulder

I have the Trevi PM and use the shoulder strap. My assessment is mixed because it's not the most comfortable bag due to the stiffness of both the bag and the strap and the fact that it's a little heavy (but not too heavy if shoulder carried). But what makes me love it is the way it just classes up any outfit and also the versatility of being both shoulder and hand carried. It's a great bag and if these aren't dealbreakers for you, you will not regret getting a Trevi.

I use the shoulder strap a lot, especially whn u go shopping....hands free :) I even swap the strap to my damier deauville. The strap will soften up after few uses...

Thank you for all of your replies. So, it sounds like the strap will soften up with use and it's pretty comfortable for everyone but one or two of you. I'm very, very glad to hear this! Makes my decision much easier :D.
