Hi Everyone!

I already have a wedding set from Tiffany's which I am still so much in love with. But lately, I've been thinking about getting a wedding set that's less expensive or even maybe a Moissanite set for just for traveling...will be going to Asia in fall. I wear my wedding set EVERYWHERE. Recently, I noticed one of my girlfriend had a different set of rings on. So when I asked, she told me this is the set she only wears on vacations and she leaves her real ones at home. So if she looses them or gets robbed on vacation (HAHAHA!), she'll just be like "Oh whatever, take them." After she told me that....I did some thinking. I don't want to wear my Tiffany set on my vacations in case I loose my rings or something happens to them. Do you all have a set that you wear just for traveling or vacations? What do you all think about Moissanite set? What do you all think about this traveling ring thing...better safe than sorry?

Yeah, I definitely wear something else when I travel. What I wear depends on where I go. Sometimes I only wear a simple band b/c I don't want to attract attention at all.

Thats so funny that your talking about this! I am leaving to go to London today and I left my engagement ring at home. When I travel I just were a white gold CZ eternity band. I'm way to nervous away from home :)

I have always travelled wearing my e-ring and wedding band. If I ever do travel to a place where I think there is a greater threat of losing my rings or having them stolen then I'll just leave them at home; I figure I could go a couple weeks not wear any rings...

So I poked around on QVC and the Home Shopping Channel. I did like a couple of the Tacori's but my hubby was pushing for a simple gold band or an eternity ring. He wants to keep it simple...he was telling me that I don't want to be attracting attention with a ring that others don't know it's fake...may not be good esp traveling! I think I will poke around some more. If you know a good site to get gold bands and eternity rings, please let me know. Thanks! :smile1:

^^ Your husband has a good point regarding potential robberies. Interesting, I just purchased some beautiful rings from QVC last night. While there, I also saw some very lovely eternity rings.

Moissanite is lovely, but at nearly $1,000/carat, you probably wouldn't want it stolen either.

Hi all! For me it's the other way around...when I am home I only wear a simple band but when I do travel I wear the real stuff!

Shiuri I totally understand your point and your husbands and I'd recommend you wearing a simple gold band...with me, I live in Central America where crime rate is really high so when I do travel (most of often to the States) I actually feel pretty safe and wear the real stuff...but while here I am soo scared of being robbed, kidnapped etc that I only wear a regular gold band....and you definitely don't want to be attracting attention, besides, a simple gold band (mine is white gold) should be very cheap...;)

I am the opposite, I wear all of my jewelry out because I am concerned my house will be robbed so I feel it is safer on me ! When I went to the beach vacation last year I thought I may leave my stuff behind in a safe deposit, maybe I will do that this year. Does that seem safe ? I have never used the box before. I may get a CZ travel set and leave my real rings behind. The thing though is that I am allergic to cheap metals and alloys so that probably won't work either.
