Travelers & Photographers - Bags for big cameras?

I have a smaller frame Sony, and I converted zip top tote from Cuyana into a camera bag usung padded inserts and a shoulder bag I bought off Amazon instead of using a true camera bag on my recent trips to Italy and Belgium. Worked like a pro, and I was able to hold four lenses, my extra batteries, the camera body, my wallet and a small makeup bag in it at the same time. I liked that it blended in and didn’t look like a camera bag at all, though I am sure it is really only a city solution.

I have still been using it around NYC when I bring my camera out with me and no one even knows it is a camera bag.
