I have a sterling bracelet that my grandmother started for me when I was a baby and was completed with meaningful charms as I grew up. I also started a 14k one because someone gave me a boy charm when my son was born and I didn't know what to do with it. That bracelet has mixed metals and all meaningful charms. 2 boys(engraved w names), a Labrador (engraved), a ladybug (enamel), a diamond script J, a candy kiss, a sm locket, a jade drop and tri color grape leaf(grandma's). Those are all 14k it also had a wg pave starfish and bumblebee. I love it but it gets expensive, I got some off eBay too, and I like the look of a full bracelet, so I bought a vintage finished bracelet off eBay to wear with it when I want that kind of look. I actually found one that had a lot of unique charms with stones and color. There's a million places to find charms, I love picking them up when we're on vacation, a permanent memory! Just have fun, be careful on eBay, as with anything, people will say it's 14k and not be. Most of all buy what you like, it all comes together.

BTW be careful when you wear it. Depending on the charms it will get stuck on things and I lost my husband's frat pin that I had made into a charm:(. That's the problem with wearing meaningful things that can't be insured.

Love it! the car is my favourite!

I have had really good luck with James Avery. My parents bought me a charm bracelet in high school that's probably 12-15 years old now and it looks brand new. It's silver, but they also offer gold. Great selection of charms and you can buy online. I think the only B & M locations are in the south.
