Tradesy experience anyone?

My guess would be that there’s no way for them to authenticate every item because they’re not all in some Tradesy warehouse, rather many (if not all?) are being shipped directly from the individual seller to the buyer. It’s not like they could even just go off of pictures from the sellers because someone could easily provide pictures of an authentic bag in great condition but then send something totally different to a buyer.

As someone who has bought and sold on Tradesy and other sites for 10 years now, I’ve fortunately not run into any issues. But if I’m buying pre-loved, I treat it as my job to familiarize myself with the item and specific details enough that I can feel confident that I’m buying the real deal.
interesting you say you've bought and sold on Tradesy. Have you bought many bags? I got one very nice MJ bag there is pristine condition a year or two ago. the price wasn't what I'd call cheap for the market but it was a fair price for the condition. not like some of the ones I'm seeing now where they basically want full original retail or close to it for a ten-plus year old bag with wear on it

the prices on TRR are much better but I guess you have to be careful there. Posh has some good deals and some good sellers but again, each seller is different

I just looked at my purchase history and I’ve bought 4 bags and 2 SLGs on Tradesy and 2 bags and 1 SLG on Poshmark. I actually just tried to purchase a bag on Poshmark this weekend but the seller cancelled my order and tried to get me to buy off the site using PayPal Friends and Family  I reported the listing and hope no one falls for it. To be honest, I’ve had a much better experience as a buyer and a seller on Tradesy but I know what you mean about the prices. I think Tradesy might take more fees out than Poshmark if I’m remembering correctly. I’ve been doing most of my sales to my own friends and family (posting on my FB page in case they want first dibs) and FB Marketplace as of late.

I bought two bags on Tradesy. One was fine and the other was the wrong size (a mini) which I returned with no issue.

On Posh I've bought a few things that were fine but I've had some negative experiences with offers and questions being ignored. One seller I offered a few dollars under FP and she declined my offer and pulled the bag off as Not For Sale.

But I got another bag recently for a great price from a sweet seller who shipped promptly. And a pair of never worn shoes for a good price.

I only started going on Posh fairly recently and I've sold one bag - have a couple more listed.

Yes, I feel like I always encounter more nonsense on Poshmark like that, whereas purchases and sales have always been more straightforward on Tradesy. But it’s just worked out that my last few bags and wallets have been purchased directly from the retailers.

Tradesy is the worst with paying you!!!!! I sold some shoes 11 days ago. The buyer loved them. I still have not been paid out!!! When I contacted their CS yesterday they said I would be paid today. It's now 1 PM Pacific time and I still don't have my $$$$$$$. It will then take another 3 days to deposit in my bank. PM is so much better!!!!!

I was just browsing marc jacobs bags there. some of their prices are Crazy high. they have a ten-plus year old bag with broken hardware (and other signs of aging) for $999. I thought that was just a mistake. then came across another one with wear on it for over $700.

Oh, I guess the individual sellers price their items and some of them think they can sell a big with noticeable wear on it that's over ten years old for full retail
They absolutely price, too high! I don’t even bother, I will check everywhere else except for them.
