Anyone have any feedback they can share about their experience purchasing from Tradesy? Thanks!!!
Supposedly, if a bag is not authentic you get your money fully refunded through whatever source you paid with. ( I say supposedly because I have never done it.) But if you return it for any other reason then you get only Tradesy credit.....this according to their website.

Thank you! Yes it looks like you get a credit if you return for reasons other than authenticity which I guess is fair. Do you know if you can message offers or are the prices firm?

I am sorry to revive this old post, but I am unable to create a new post anywhere on the board. It says "You Have Insufficient Privileges To Post Threads Here." for each and every board. I am new registered so maybe that's why or because I didn't read the fine-pring when I created my registratio telling where to post first. I don't know.

My question is - Are there any Canadian sellers on Tradesy?

I know officially you can't sell from Canada on Tradesy. But I do have a PO box in the US and I live just across the border. I do not have a US billing address though but I have no problems shipping packages the next day or two from the US.

I had registered the Tradesy account with VPN just to be extra cautious in case they shut me down. (Mercari for example doesn't allow Canadians even to register as buyers and even VPN doesn't help).

So I am wondering if anybody from Canada on Tradesy and how it goes.

Sorry to hijack this post but I am unable to post anywhere else on this forum and I don't know what to do to get the restrictions lifted on my user name.

I don't have an answer for you but I see nothing wrong with you posting on this tread

Okay nevermind, the Tradesy support responded non-US sellers can't sell on Tradesy at this time. Not possible to add non-US billing address, non-US number and non-US credit card.

Non-US Buyers who have paypal account, US-based mail forwarder and lots of money are very welcome.

My question is--

Why aren't they authenticating bags BEFORE they are sold? How else would you know if the item is a fake unless it's authenticated?

I see a bag I really like, but just hesitant to make the purchase, because once I get it, I'd want it authenticated, you know?

I was just browsing marc jacobs bags there. some of their prices are Crazy high. they have a ten-plus year old bag with broken hardware (and other signs of aging) for $999. I thought that was just a mistake. then came across another one with wear on it for over $700.

Oh, I guess the individual sellers price their items and some of them think they can sell a big with noticeable wear on it that's over ten years old for full retail

My guess would be that there’s no way for them to authenticate every item because they’re not all in some Tradesy warehouse, rather many (if not all?) are being shipped directly from the individual seller to the buyer. It’s not like they could even just go off of pictures from the sellers because someone could easily provide pictures of an authentic bag in great condition but then send something totally different to a buyer.

As someone who has bought and sold on Tradesy and other sites for 10 years now, I’ve fortunately not run into any issues. But if I’m buying pre-loved, I treat it as my job to familiarize myself with the item and specific details enough that I can feel confident that I’m buying the real deal.
