I think cute is a good way of describing the tote. I like it, but even with the expandable zippered sides it was smaller (definitely more narrow) than I was expecting. I was super excited about the price when my SA first told me about 18303 being $458, but I would have preferred to pay a bit more for something closer in size to the elevated N/S tote. Based on the tote being smaller than most of the bags you've revealed, I think it would be worth the wait for the flap satchel.

I'm tempted to pre-order/backorder 18288 if possible during PCE in case it ships sooner than when more information/pics are available.

This is what I got from JAX about 18288:
Dear Shopaholic,

Thank you for your inquiry.

The Kristin Elevated Leather Ostrich Large Flap Satchel style#18288 will be retailed for $1000.00. This item will be introduced in mid-August. Unfortunately, we do not have a picture of this item available.

Please feel free to contact us if there are any further questions.

Sincerely,

I was unable to post yesterday due to traveling back from vacation--EXTREMELY limited internet access, plus I only had my iphone and replying here is tricky when I only have that device on hand. And now I see all of these posts and it makes me feel even more frustrated, because I found out lots of info from a great SA at my store upon my return late last night...info that I could have been posting here, if I could have shared it in real time! (My SA left me several emails and VMs about the qs I'd also posted here, that I retrieved upon my return!!!) So here's what I found out, that others have already posted here so kindly and with such a spirit of helpfulness....Am sharing only to reinforce the info that has been shared on this thread as 101% on the button!!!!!:p.....

Indeed #18288 is the bag that is fawn with rosegold hardware that was posted as a bag received by another poster, thinking it would be the plum bag. This bag MIGHT be (HIGHLY LIKELY) the "mystery" bag that my SA ordered when I was on vacation, which she had 2-day expressed--which didn't help much, since I wasn't around to get it when it shipped. I think in the messages she's sent to me that my SA too thought that the #18288 might have been the plum bag that I was asking about. If so, and if this is one of the bags waiting for me today, I think I will love it!

Meanwhile, some other wonderful tpfers here found the plum satchel bag style #18282 and must have located it around the same time my SA did, according to all of the messages I retrieved last night. My SA had the bag 24 hour rush expressed, so it will arrive today. It sure looks like it will be the satchel some of us are so interested in, in the plum!!!:yahoo: I'll try to post pics tonight (depending on what DH wants to do this evening--our kids will be gone for the evening :graucho:) but if not, I'll post tomorrow. I think it is so great how helpful everyone here is and the SAs I have at my store. I cannot thank everyone enough, that's for sure, for their kindness and reaching out. I hope this lengthy post helps, and if you have any qs let me know. And I hope I'm not missing anyone here with my sincere thanks for that help!

I saw that very bag at the FP boutique 2 weeks ago - $458 msrp. It's beauteous. The only little niggle I had was that the handles and strap are just a tad thin for my liking, but I would definitely get this one if I found it at the outlet! (They are definitely proportionate to the purse, but I do prefer a bit more sturdy handle.)

The style number for the flap satchel is 18282. I stumbled onto it on the Coach Singapore website in the Chelsea catalog. I don't know the price and I can't find it in the drilldown yet. :smile1:

That is so kind of you to post. As you will see in my reply, above, to mn_shopaholic, my SA must have stumbled upon this inform too, yesterday, as the bag is on the way! It was SOOO kind of you to share this info and to reach out. Thanks a bunch!:hugs:

I received the Kristin satchel 18288 today and it is the bag shown in post number 50. It's a color called fawn and it has amber hardware. I am ordering the 18282 satchel which does show the color of plum and hoping for the best.

Yep, that will be the bag you'd hoped for! Sorry the fawn didn't work out. I think I have that one waiting for me, and I'm anxious to see it. But the price may be a deterrent for me, unless I lose my breath when I see it, KWIM????:graucho:

What is the color code for the bag you ordered? And, could you post some pictures please? I've been waiting for the Sage in that leather, so maybe I can find her via the color code if I have it. :graucho:

I'm feeling a bit better about not ordering 18288 sight unseen, but now I'll have to ask my SA about 18282. Hopefully the mystery of the plum ostrich flap satchel from the preview pics will be solved soon so I know how to budget for my fall wishlist.

thank you for the info!!!

Yes, as noted in reply above, you are 101% well on your way to getting the plum bag! Woot hoot! If / when you get her, please share !!!

Bought this bag today in Olive with my PCE card.

Hope I like it. I do a reveal.
OMG This bag is something I want to order!! But I'm scared about the size! I like bigger bags. I can't wait to see your reveal! It will be a decision maker for me of whether I'll order it or not.

I don't like the hobo style because I don't like bags that don't stand up on their own and it looks like it'd tip over unless you have the bottom of the bag packed.

I saw the Olive Patent IRL today in a wristlet. Yes, it is sparkly like the Wine...and it is definitely an Olive color.
My SA brought out a bag with C's embossed in random places all over it...it was a green patent and looked just like the Olive, but I am pretty sure this was a Mad bag and not a Chelsea. Its patent was like the Audrey Patent stuff...has variations of color everywhere.
Also saw the Chelsea Flagship crossbody (the itty bitty one, like a swingpack). IMO, the pebbled leather on the gray (ash?) felt a little...cheap, IMO. But the brown one was very very nice.

I really hope it's not too small either, but I think it might be. We'll see. Here is hoping

And I asked about this bag while I was in the store. They said some Asian tourists had come in and asked about it and researched the bag.

It seems it's an Asian exclusive and we wont be getting it

It was 17 inches long, but it might be too small for me. The chelsea shopper is is that long and I saw it tonight. It's about the size of the carryall.

We'll see. Here is hoping. :)

Here are the nitrolicious photos of the olive suede tote. In the first photo, it's the one on the left and it looks small compared to the hobo.
