Maybe it is just me, or maybe my geographical area, but I'm suddenly noticing that totes are everywhere.

MK totes, the LV Neverfulls, Gucci (I see this gorgeous black one carried by a customer at my nail shop--can't find it online), the LV epi totes, totes I don't even know who makes them but they look nice, leather totes with contrasting shoulder straps, the list goes on! So of course I had to get a tote (Gucci Tattoo--I love it but it is so not me but it sure is now).

Guess I just got caught up in this tote tidal wave, it will be a tote summer for me  .

Totes are so practical and so easy to get in and out of!
They also fit all our essentials. Most are lightweight as well. No heavy hardware or zippers.
They are perfect all year round!

I can't seem to get on the tote bandwagon. I like it when I see them on other people, but when I try them on, I can't get over how big they are inside. I like for things to fit a little tight on the inside if that makes sense.

I've been carrying my new one. Most of my bags are structured &/or have compartments.
The big ol' blue leather zipped tote feels so relaxed. So spring/summer easy.
So smooshy & comfortably jumbled.

I saw another type of big blue tote out today. Its owner & I exchanged bag glances, then smiled @ one another. In understanding.
It's tote time! Feel the joy. :)

I resisted buying one for a long time because I really prefer a structured, polished look. But, on those days when I need to carry an extra pair of shoes, lunch etc, I end up carrying a small structured bag and assorted Whole Foods/Trader Joe's bags, which looks absolutely ridiculous. I've had a nylon Burberry tote for years that I sometimes reach for on those days, but it is dark, beat up, and not that big (justifications, justifications), so today I pulled the trigger on the attached. It was a bit of an impulse purchase and I don't actually have it yet, but I like the large size, braided handles, gold/gray combo, and pebbled leather. I considered the Soho, but I'm not a fan of the big logo and no hardware.

Oh ,I like it very much. Congrats!

The popularity of them i do understand, i tried to like one a lovely raw leather design by Roots but i need a bit more structure to my bags and i don't carry even half enough of what they can hold so they are well oversized for me.
