As a follow up to your prior post. Do you still feel that the pm suits your daily needs or do you wish you bought the larger mm? I purchased the mm and am second guessing my purchase and am thinking I should have got the pm.

That size looks perfect on you. I’m 5’1” and just bought the mm. I’m thinking I’ll look silly with it.

I own both sizes. PM wears like a purse. Larger items like folders/paperwork or a sweater won’t fit. The MM wears like a tote (think Neverfull MM) and it’s great for travel. The MM will allow you to carry extras like a sweater, water bottle, umbrella, etc. This bag was originally designed for travel. Side pockets are for passports, tickets, and other quick grab items on the go. So I guess it depends on what you originally bought this for. Daily small purse or tote for more things. HTH.

I've been looking at buying the Totally for a while now. Thank you for your detailed explanation of what each size holds. Do you think the outside pockets will hold a water bottle in either size?

Just checked. Both will fit a 21oz skinny bottle (I happened to test with a Hydroflask)… however the bottle fits more “comfortably” in the MM because it is a taller bag. Depending on how much you put in the main compartment of the PM the pockets will be tighter as they sit outside the bag. Again, if you want a day tote for errands around town (such as shopping) get the MM. If you want a day purse get the PM. The slim bottle fits the outer pockets of the PM but it will be easier to get the bottle in and out of the side pockets with less stuff inside the main compartment of the bag (as the main compartment items push out into the pocket, making the fit tighter). The MM has more room inside the main compartment so unless you overstuff the bag you should have more room to use the outer pockets without having to shift stuff around inside the bag before putting the bottle in. Hope this makes sense.
