I think it was 30% off of anything over $250 or 30% off sale items, and than we also received the gift cards. Hopefully someone else can help verify this information!

With the usual exclusions:Reva, Quinn, Minnie Travel Ballet Flats, Miller and Miller II Sandals, the York Buckle Tote and York Small Buckle Tote, Fitbit and Fitbit accessories, beauty and fragrance.

30% for a Black Friday event seems pretty tame.

As for me, I prefer digging through the trenches at some of the earliest levels in the supply chain and found my TB bags NWT at over 70% off (and they are this years current line of bags, too, not new-old-stock).

Is this this years? I haven't received any news yet. My current SA is on maternity leave and I feel like I will have to call to prod them to give me the advanced shopping. Sadly there really isn't a lot on my wish list this year.

Wondering what the "earliest levels in the supply chain " are?, thanks

Via local liquidators that buy directly from the factory. I'm 5km from the factory that makes Tory Burch in Southern China (amongst other brands). Of course the selection varies and the buying experience/environment is no where near luxurious but I will say I did pay less than 30% of MSRP for the two TB bags you see I posted in the authenticate thread.

Sounds like a grey area does TB allow those items to be sold to liquidators?

Definite grey area but it's also a consequence of contracting out your manufacturing to China. There will always be over-production in some form or another (samples, merchandising or quality control pieces, "factory seconds" with flaws or imperfections, etc...) and the customers usually expect the factories to absorb these costs as a cost of doing business. However, with the very same customers are always pushing for lower prices from factories so the factories usually cannot take a loss on anything so they're left to liquidate such pieces at cost price to recoup material and labour costs.

It's just not limited to Tory Burch but pretty much anyone making textile products in China (clothes, shoes, bags, etc...). It's not widespread as we're talking about extreme limited availability. The main liquidator I visit might have a dozen or two TB pieces representing 0.01% (if that) of their inventory, the rest is just a hodgepodge of other unwanted factory goods but mostly textile based from non-luxury brands. Most deal in shoes as that's what most factories are producing in the area. I know people from Steve Madden and they know their shoes are reaching these liquidators but they just look the other way as they know it's just a very very very small percentage of a much, much larger pie and the geographic isolation pretty much insures the shoes will never see light outside of China. I am in a very industrious, non-touristy area of China as I seldom see other foreigners around the areas which these products end up and most of the people that buy them are locals who don't even know the brand but do so just because its cheap and looks nice.

Pre-sale and Thanksgiving sale details are as follows. Pre-sale started today and runs through Friday, spend $250.00 and receive 30% off that includes sale items too. The sale starts Saturday for the general public, so if there are items that you want that are already reduced I suggest you snag them now before they are gone. There are the usual exclusions.

Thank you lettuceshop! I'm in need of a new black clutch and I'm trying to decide if I should get the Diana clutch now or wait until the sale on Saturday to get the Gemini Link Clutch. Decisions..
