One of the best sales yet I would ... AMEX is likely to agree with me based on my bill :D

I couldn't believe the line up - in previous years I normally get there around 7ish and am one of the first. This year we were there for 7am and just barely go in on the first round. By 8am the line up was incredibly long.

Clearly no recession in Toronto these days!

I was only planning on getting small leather goods and a tie for DH but of course one look at scarfs and that was it - I got 2 lovely mousselines - one GM in bright pinks and another 90 in beige and cream. I also got a bit carried away at got my favourite design in an outrageously loud colourway of fushias and pinks - astrologie (s[?).

I was also thrilled I got what I came for in the small leather goods departmen - 2 PM Karos (the only two they got according to Kimberly) in Brighton Blue and Violet, 2 Ulyssee note books a PM and MM - one in vert olive and one in vert anis. I also lucked out and found a prune (I think) carmelita which is perfect for my small ulyssee.

All in all it was a great haul and I figured seeing as it was the day before my b/d I was OK.;)

... oops the Birkin fund just shrank!

Oh toniec...Lovely purchases!!! Good for you to get the Karos. I guess I have to be earlier next time ;)

I went hoping to find my Bolduc au Carre but I was too slow! People who went in just a few steps before me found Bolduc au Carre scarves, and then when i was lining up there was one on the table but I was too late! :pout:

So I only bought two scarves, Cheval de courses and Mosaique au 24:

Sorry it took so long - here are the scarves that I bought at the sale!

(see attached files)

Does anyone know the names of all the scarves and what year their from?

Hey all,

Went to the sale this morning and selection was amazing! Line was loooong but the wait wasn't actually that long! Tables were tough to get to and find scarves as volunteers frantically tried to refold the piles on the tables! Waiting for others to drop scarves that they didn't want was the best strategy for me!! :D

I was able to get 5 scarves (will try to post them later this week) for my girlfriend, but upon initial review by her friend, I think one might not cut the mustard (Les Petits Metiers de Paris) - same as dogbiskit but in blue.

So if there is anyone that was at the sale who isn't as in love with what they bought and would like to swap or who couldn't make the sale and loves Les Petits Metiers de Paris, please PM me!

** Who thought that after buying a scarf for my girlfriend's birthday just a few months ago that I'd have bought six (!) scarves a few months later and would actually be able to recognize the names of some scarves! :p

Has anyone heard if there will be sale this year? I checked the mtcc website and nothing is listed for Hermes in the next few months.

Scarf sale:

In the past it's been every other year. I would expect the next one to be S/S 2011. I was told it takes them two years to have enough stock as Canada is a small market.
