I just received my Rolex today. It was purchased through an AD and they had to special order it. I chose the mop dial as I LOVE mop, esp really colorful and interesting mop. Anyhow, I received it today and was pretty disappointed that the MOP was so colorless and somewhat flat. The SA said that Rolex will prob say that's how they intended it to be. I would just love for them to order another to see if it's any different but since it's a small boutique I'm getting the impression they won't do that. The store is open Monday but Rolex isn't so have to wait till Tuesday to get any info. 😣

Any thoughts?

Ironically, it looks like it has some color in the photo but really doesn't. Also, I have the protective thing over the diamonds.

This is an expensive watch and I hope your AD is able to bring another one in for you to view. Don't settle for this of you are not 100% satisfied. Have you seen the black MOP? That one is stunning too.

When I had a MOP dial it had a pink flavor to it. I would be disappointed too. Hope you can get a different one more to your liking

Hmm...my SA told me that typically the mop dial with Roman numerals is more colorful and with Diamond markers it's less so...but I'm not sure I buy that. 😢

I know, the black mop is exquisite...I'm wondering if I had looked at too many photos of the black mop and sort of was expecting more color than is typical in white mop.

I bought it at a small boutique (that's an AD) and wondering if they can't just send it back? When I tried it on and looked in the mirror I did think it looked nice and thought I could be happy about it...but I think I'll wait to see if he can get another. So bummed to have spent SO much $ and not be totally happy!!

Mine did not have the diamond markers

They all look pretty similar to that.

That's what I'm wondering...and although I don't want to "settle", i'm thinking if I just wear it I'll end up loving it.

My DH did give me the two tone in the same watch (but I returned it) and the mop was definitely more colorful...but maybe on the stainless they choose less colorful. Ugh, I don't know!

Just hard because I don't have a lot of stores near me who sells Rolex to just 'check it out.'

Thanks ladies!

Maybe Rolex makes the MOP flatter when diamonds are involved so the diamonds pop...makes sense.
Since you have the diamond bezel, already, you could change the face to non-diamond but get the MOP color pop you want.
BTW...your new Rolex is gorgeous but I agree, too much money not to be totally happy!

If you've spent that much $$$, you deserve to be completely happy and satisfied with your purchase.
If there is any doubt, you need to try to have your AD get another watch to compare.

I had a similar purchase with a MOP watch (not Rolex). I saw the watch in real life and the color was beautiful, but I didn't buy it that day.
Later I ordered the same watch and when it came there was no color in it, and I was very disappointed. I returned the watch, and won't buy another MOP unless I can see it IRL.
I say return/exchange it if it's not love.

Yes, sounds familiar! Ha!

I'm worried because it was special ordered and its a small boutique so I'm not sure if you can return/exchange on a special order. 😨

It was a lot of $$ and I totally agree that I should be able to get what I want. It's even more awkward because a friend of a friend referred me to the store and she is close friends with the owner who I met when I ordered the watche. I would typically ask to speak with someone in management but I would feel totally awkward now. The SA doesn't sound so understanding of the situation so not sure how much of a fuss I should make. Ugh! I guess I'll see what he says on Tuesday.

I called another Rolex AD and they confirmed that since every mop is unique you never know what you will get (duh) but some of the watches like mine have a colored hue and others don't....

Darn it- so disappointed for you... DEFINITELY get in another one ( or two) to compare it to. Listen... It's a LOT of money and I guarantee you, that SA wants the sale very badly, I think they will do what it takes to please you and make the sale. Do not settle. And if you need to by it elsewhere, I can recommend a couple places to you. You'd save tax because you'd be shipping from outside your state too :)
