Tod's...the Miky bag has been out since last year and the current version is an a variation on their older Miky which they've updated periodically over the years.

The Dooney bag is new...it just came out and just showed up on their website recently.

Tod's quality will be superior to Dooney--however, quality is subjective.

I personally love Tod's quality and designs so to me it's worth every penny! ;)

Anyway, I thought it was interesting that Dooney came out with a look alike bag to the Miky.

Oh totally, Tod's quality is pretty good, I swear by their shoes, I'm just curious how they compare side by side since it's the exact same bag design. If the Dooney holds its own then wow, I would be tempted to consider.

Oh! The copy of the Miky by Dooney & Boorke has a keyholder integrated. I love keyholders in bags! :tup: That's what I'm missing on my Tod's bags.


But I really wonder why Tod's don't protect their designs by a patent? :confused1:

I was curious about this too--whether or not fashion can be copyrighted. Apparently it can't! :shrugs:

There is a navy medium miky at the TODS store in Hawaii. This is the 2013 style with rolled handles. It is very light in weight. Beautiful leather, and lovely navy. I owned medium bags from TODS in the past, and the sizing is now bigger (for whatever reason). The smaller/ piccolo miky bag is more my size (petite frame). Piccolo color nice light brown. I would have gotten a navy or black piccolo.

As for the Dooney copy, that is a flagrant copy. Dooney bags of that size are usually nearly 3 lbs in weight. That would kill the shoulders. TODS always light weight. Just my 2 cents.

Still can't get this beautiful newer styled Miky out of my mind LOL...

It looks so usable.... do you Miky owners love it?
Only problem is, I want the taupe one with the flat handles (fall/winter 2012).
Any idea where to get it?
