I own both. I've had the Monceau for so long and when the Pochette Metis came out I loved it right away but thought it was too similar but eventually broke down and bought the PM. They hold about the same amount. The Monceau has been discontinued for a long time and it is lined in cross grain leather, like an LV wallet, so the bag is stiffer. But the leather lining is durable and easy to wipe down. LV doesn't line canvas bags in leather like they used to, probably because of the expense. You could probably find one preloved for half the price of a PM. Make sure it comes with the keys for the lock and there is no stickiness in interior pocket. I've owned the PM for about two years and I still haven't decided which bag I like better. Good luck deciding.
