I prefer rose gold over white gold now. I think it blends better with my skin. I also prefer diamonds set in rose gold. I got a diamond ring in white gold recently but cannot get use to it..
I still wear my white gold jewelry but I carry a lot more pieces in rose gold on a daily basis. I just mix them together :)

I love all metals, and for once I can say I am lucky enough that all three golds work on my skin tone (I'm usually never so lucky  ). I will say I love white and rose tied for first place and then yellow gold. There was a long while that I wore yellow gold almost exclusively, but it started to feel more-trend driven than a natural choice (as yellow was trending hard a while back and almost everything you could buy came in yellow gold; meanwhile white or rose was more select). If I had to rank which looks best on me, I'd say white. Now, I look more at the design and if I it comes in all gold shade options, I usually go with the one I feel the design looks best on me in. If it comes in one shade of gold only and I love the design, then I have no problems choosing it. In other words the fact it comes in only yellow gold wont deter me if I love the design. I don't, however, typically wear yellow gold next to white gold, side by side or layered. If I choose a yellow gold piece and wanted to mix metals then I'd pair it with rose over white. If I choose to wear a white gold piece and want to mix metals, I'd happily and actively choose rose gold to pair with it as I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE white and rose golds paired together!

I’d like to think that I don’t follow trends, but that would be untrue. I used to wear huge silver pieces that I wouldn’t dream of wearing today. I’ve kept most of them in case I like them again or my daughters like them, as they are high quality pieces, just not fashionable any more. The trend was then towards yellow gold. I can see now white gold starting to get more popular with 90’s fashion, we might see yellow gold becoming outdated again.

But now I’m 40+, and more set in my ways, more confident and more experienced, so hopefully less trend driven. I think my affair with yellow gold and diamonds will be long lasting as I like things to be low maintenance and fuss free. My mom, who has always been incredibly beautiful and a true fashionista, has always worn her yellow gold and diamond rings and has never seemed out of fashion or outdated.
I do like white gold but I hate the maintenance. I prefer silver because it is shinier and easy to clean at home (my body chemistry loves silver and whenever I wear it I leave it shiny as new), but most jewelry pieces that are nice or fashionable now come in white gold and not silver.
What I mean to say after writing all that is that I hope new jewelry trends do not affect me and that I continue to happily collect yellow gold despite what is fashionable. :D

I have seen some wg with rg and diamonds stacked together and they look divine!

I used to only wear white gold and silver many years ago because the designs I liked back then were only made in silver. I still enjoy wearing white metals but I find that rose gold seems to suit my skin tone a lot better. I think rose gold looks lovely with either white or yellow gold, it just seems to balance them out.
As for yellow gold, 18k or higher looks too harsh against my skin. I can wear 14k yellow gold and it looks nice, but when it gets too yellow it starts to look strange against my skin.
I think 18k yellow gold “pops” which looks lovely when I see it on other people but every time I try it on me it just looks harsh!
Silver is a bit too harsh against my skin as well, but unplated white gold has a “warmer” tone that I can wear.

I’m lucky in that all three metal colours suit me, but yellow gold looks best and is and always has been my preference. I’ll never get tired of it but have been wearing more platinum/white gold of late. I love how durable platinum is.

I don’t like rose gold very much - it feels ‘trendy’ and a bit young for me now that I’m over 40.

I’m still getting used to the idea of mixing metals but really like yellow and white combined in a bracelet stack.

I put together a quick color chart comparing the 3 metals on cool/warm skintones.

You can check your veins to see which you fall under. YG looks best on warm while both WG and RG looks best on cool.

I'm cool-toned and as much as I love the color of yg it just doesn't work on me. I can get away with wearing small pieces of it, especially in pave (since you see much less of the metal); in fact my favorite tennis bracelet is set in YG - but for pieces which are worn close to the face or are mostly metal, YG just doesn't look good on me.

WG highlights, while RG complements. I like both a lot and they look good mixed too!

I'll try to get a pic of the stack later today, but I just wanted to say that I have plain unbranded white gold earrings that I wear 3 or 4 times a week and I have yet to see the rhodium wear off. It's been at least 8 years that I have them. I have one white gold tennis bracelet that I've had redipped once in 20 years or so.
My wedding ring and band are both white gold… got married in 2016 and they still look pretty bright!

I’m allergic to gold, as well as all base metals (stainless steel etc).

My watch is sterling silver and diamond, although I do have a white gold one which I don’t wear..my jewellery is platinum.
I inherited a ring which was a family heirloom which had been reset from platinum to 18ct gold, which I’m having reset back into platinum.
So I don’t wear Any gold, although my sister, niece and Mum all wear 18ct yellow gold…
