Timex watch

I still have the Timex watch my dad gave me when I was five. It hasn't worked for a while - I suspect I overwound it. But I'm thinking of taking it to a watchmaker. I love it for sentimental reasons, and I love that it really does (or did) tick.

I grabbed a Weekender for a camping trip and I found myself wearing it long afterward, buying straps to suite my outfit/mood. Indiglo is better than any lume, in my opinion.

I'm not at all a connoisseur of haute horlogerie, and while I do own a few Emporio Armani, Burberry, and Zodiac fashion watches, Timex will always have a place on my wrist.

I have a timex and it's my workhorse! Whenever I'm headed somewhere and I need a watch that won't attract attention, but is dependable, I'm wearing my timex.

That being said, it's honestly loud, and mine isn't the weekender model. It's on the other side of the room right now and I can hear it ticking. It drove me nuts at first but now it's kind of soothing. I purchased it at the end of the summer, so I don't know if it's only their new watches that are so loud, or if just all Timexes are loud.
