Time To Treat Myself... Watch or Studs?

Since you have round studs already, a watch is my vote.
Also, I have bad experience with diamond stud earrings. I've lost one twice already (from different pairs and shapes). The second time I didn't bother to get a replacement. I seem to have a knack for losing them...

I would go for both, but right now isn't a good time for me financially. Not bad enough that I have to part with any of my Hermes, but bad enough that I haven't added to my collection since February. This isn't going to be one of my larger purchases... just a little treat to hold me over. I'm leaning towards the studs, but considering some other watches.

I'm completely torn at this point. My birthday is coming up so if I wait a little longer I'll have more money to spend on my treat... or maybe I could get both  Another thought is a tennis necklace... or a really cool custom setting for some of my loose stones?

So sorry, McLoverly, to hear about your rotten year!
Although horribly upsetting, your EX did you a favor...once a cheat, etc.
Let the new GF deal with it, and she eventually will!!!

On a happier note...get a nice pair of studs to show off your lovely face!
:hugs:

Thank you skyqueen. I'm happy to have that chapter of my life over with. Yay for a new year!

I'm considering buying another Chopard Happy Sport... would that be unwise? I love my YG Chopard, but it's too blingy to wear all the time. I'm something of a watch person so I consider quartz movement watches to be more jewelry than time pieces. I'm really torn because I'd love another watch, but my taste in watch watches is too expensive for my current budget. I'd like to get larger studs, but I'm left without a casual watch and I have very pretty 1ct round studs. A SS Chopard with floating diamonds would give me some bling, but also serve as an everyday timepiece. My only reservation is that I already have a Chopard. What do you ladies think?

Hi again,

I still haven't pulled the trigger. I've decided not to get another pair of studs at the moment, because I love the round ones I have and when I do upsize I want to go 3+ ctw (which I can't afford right now). So I've decided one either a watch or a tennis bracelet.

Here are the options:
SS Chopard Happy Sport (I have a YG one I love)
SS men's Rolex Datejust
SS or Two Tone Men's Cartier Tank Francaise
SS men's Cartier Pasha
SS IWC Big Pilot (I have a RG IWC Portuguese)
The other option is a 3ct diamond tennis bracelet.

I'd love some votes!

I just read your post, and I'm sorry you had a horrible year. I'm sure 2011 will be much better. Stay strong! In the meantime, it never hurts to start the year with a bit of bling. I'm not a watch person, and I've been wearing the same Rolex every day for the past 15 years, so I vote for a tennis bracelet (but bigger than 3ct if you can). I just got myself one and I love it so much!

Thanks evekitti! I'm trying to stay positive about 2011... it has to be better than 2010 was! I'd love a huge tennis bracelet, but I'm fairly young and I want something that won't be too flashy. My finances also aren't in great shape right now. I actually love watches, but find that the ones I have are too flashy for daily wear. I want something that gives me bling, but isn't too showy for job interviews or the dog park.

my advice is to just go buy one of the items.....you can only spend the money once. I have system write down my wants and get them in order of importance.....doesn't matter which as long as you can get both eventually.
